will be in seattle this summer. doing an NCL cruise but wanting to take son to baseball game. looking for a hotel that is reasonably close to both, something nice, perhaps central to dining and other seattle sites. did this in LA and paid big bucks to get from disneyland to dodger stadium! (angels were out of town). Looking to plan a little better. Any sites that are a must see in seattle? thanks.

I am going to assume you just want to see the stadium, right? :lmao: J/K!

Look at this site I found..WOW! http://safecofield.stadiumhotelnetwork.com/ who would have known there was a site just for finding hotels by stadiums!

If you look close it shows where the ships sail from. Looks like the Best Western is right in between the two. Best Western Pioneer Square Hotel
77 Yesler Way Seattle, WA 98104-2530 US Do some research on Pioneer Square though and see if it is somewhere you would like to stay.

I don't live there, but have family there. We stay at teh Silver Cloud Inn in Lake Union and enjoy it. They have a location by the stadium and provide shuttle service. I know the one in Lake Union the shuttle took my parents to the cruise terminal. So the stadium one probably would as well.

There is a Silver Cloud absolutely *right there* next to the stadiums. If I were cruising out of Seattle we would stay there the night before the cruise, rather than coming up from Tacoma. It can be spendy, especially when there's a game, but I think it would be worth it. It's right near/in the International district so if you want good Asian food it's all around you. There's a brewpub near Safeco Field (I'm blankingo on the name but it's a big well known brand of microbrewed beer) that serves food and is open to all ages if I recall correctly. Going up the street a bit puts you into Pioneer Square and that has food as well, and the Underground Tour (which I've never been on but many people love it).

Pike Place Market is often considered a must, and if your ship leaves from pier 66 you'll be closeby anyway (I took my stepdad and his wife to lunch during their time off of their Celebrity cruise).

thanks everyone. silver cloud looks great. but... under hotel "policies" it says all registered guests must be 21. i have sent an email inquiry but haven't heard back. that certainly can't mean no kids - can it? i am thinking it means the primary person on the reservation must be 21.

Having worked in a hotel, I can tell you that yes, the primary person staying in/paying for the room has to be 21. Your DS can stay there with you. Have a great trip!!!

the web site (link posted by loraJ) is aimed at the business traveler. i guess that got me thinking too literally. Looks like the perfect place and prices are reasonable. the cab ride in LA was $100 each way (disney to dodger stadium) plus tip. definitely going to plan this trip better! thanks everyone.
