Hey, Just wondering if anyone here is from Oregon?? I have only found 1 other person doing the CP from my school and met her online..and a few from other colleges around here..
So if you're from OR and going or have already done the CP let me know!

Hey!! I'm not in the College Program - I'm really interested, though!

I'm returning to education after an absence - I'm 28 and I go to Portland State University as a Graphic Design major. One day, I would LOVE to work for Disney! (Or the Dis!)

My husband and I currently live in Portland, OR. We both did the CP back in 2006 and will be heading to Orlando in June b/c he got a PI!!! We dont plan on comming back to OR and hopfully get to stay in Orlando for a while!!!

Were you attending college in Oregon when you did the program?
The reason I am asking is...this is something my son is considering to do in a couple of years. He is still in high school. I'm trying to find out if any colleges in Oregon give credit for the CP and/or the classes that are offered there.

I did not go to school in OR, I went to school in TX and met DH while in FL doing our CP!!! My DH was attending Portland Community College when he did the program but he did not get any credit or take any classes. That was his choice to do so. He will finaly be finished in June!! (HE took so long not because of doing the CP but for the time he took of to move to TX so I could finish school

NOT TRUE!!!! I am going to be an Attractions CP this fall and am attending Southern Oregon University while at the program. Now both myself and my roommate (who did CP last year) got/are going to get credits through the program. For myself I am a history major and while at the program am going to "dual enroll" in college. Much like you take a class at a community college during the summer I am going to take classes at both SOU and Disney. Southern has been really accomidating and I have had no real snares with organizing classes to take while i'm gone. I am doing my senior project/capstone for 4 credits, have arranged to do a 4 credit independant study class based on the Disney Heritage syllabus and then are trying to either take one of those ACE credited classes or arrange another independant class. My advisor and the enrollement services were really helpful even though i'm one of, like 6 people ever, to have done this program roommate included. I would be really surprised if colleges don't give accrediation or are helpful in trying to figure a situation out. Now most people choose to take a semseter off and that is their choice, but as I am steadily burying myself in student loans, taking a semseter or quarter off is not a plan I can do. I'm poor, so paying loans back isn't quite an option at the moment. What I have been told is to avoid online classes that require daily work. Most CPs say to avoid this because your work schedule will totally tank any plans of doing actual homework in a timely manner and it's just better to not put yourself in that position.
So that was a really lengthly "probably" on if Oregon schools will take credit. It's varied on the schools standards much like any other transfer class.
