hello all, were moving to northeast colorado this sunday, im excited & exhausted with packing but i would love to hear from my fellow coloradoans & any suggestions you have to enjoy colorado like your favorite place to go parks, restaurants, etc? thanks!

Welcome (almost) to Colorado! You will love it here. What city will you be moving to? We live in Brighton which is about 25 miles north of Denver.

Feel free to PM with any questions, I have lived here all my life (26 years) and I love it. I would not think of living any where else....well except Disney World

Estes Park is a great place to visit as well as Rocky Mountain National Park. Estes Park is about 70 miles from Denver....

Welcome to Colorado. We hope you love it here as much as we do. We've lived here over 21 years now.

I live just north of the Air Force Academy, so if you have any questions about things to do along the Front Range, just pm me anytime.

Some of our favorite places to go are: Garden of the Gods, Rocky Mountain National Park, Vail, Breckenridge, Aspen, Glenwood Canyon, Hanging Lake, Steamboat Springs, Great Sand Dunes National Monument, Mesa Verde . . you can fill a lot of long weekends and vacations visiting them, and I've only scratched the surface. . .

Have fun! Don't forget to ALWAYS take a jacket or sweatshirt with you. If you think you won't need one, just wait five minutes . . . and you WILL.

I live in Colorado too. 29 years ago I came here to attend the University of Colorado in Boulder and have stayed (not at CU but in Colorado ) I live south of Boulder and just love it.

This place has a way of growing on you. The winters aren't bad at all and the summers are too hot. My favorite time of year is Fall.

Denver has lots to do as does Boulder, Estes Park, the mountain towns, Colorado Springs-just depends on what you like to do and where you are.

Me too, Me too. Came from NJ (Franklin Lakes) in '77 to go to CU. Have never left either. We live in East Boulder County.

I am amazed that there is another Brightonian here! I moved to Denver in the mid-seventies with my family and have been here ever since. I'm sure you will ove it. It is a very relaxing place to live and extremely beautiful (except out here on the plains ).

My favorite vacation spots, other than Disney of course, are Durango and Telluride. If you are from a lower elevation, please remember to give yourself time to adjust to the altitude.

Oh, wear sunscreen every day! With the higher altitude and the thinner air you burn easier here (I don't know if the altitude and air really contribute to the burn factor, but all of our sunny days sure do!)
