Anyone for the Western cruise 4/9/05???

We are a family of five. 46 + 5 =51 .

I went to AAA today to get our passport photos (free since we booked there), and our TA saw me and told me she called DCL and our documents should arrive to her on Tuesday or so.

I was at Sam's Club today, and they had some nice snorkel kits. I forget what they're called but they also had the one piece swim things some kids wear. Do you know what I mean? What do you think about buying snorkel gear and bringing it with?

MY sister got the family snorkle gear at Sam's club. They are well made. They were nicer than the ones that I saw at Cabela's. I love seeing our numbers growing.

My Mom is very excited! So even talked to me about going tanning! She's 75!! What a trip!

WOW our numbers are growing!!

Okay, here is an idea for the deck party. On our last cruise we had laynards that had a plastic pouch that we could keep our KTTW card in. Well, I also have a green mickey head from Home Depot in it!! That would one way for people to know your are a DISer! We could write our screen names on the Green Mickey head!

5 weeks from today!!!! Going to check out the port cam now!!

I forgot to ask a question.....It is about passports.

I am not taking a passport just because I don't want to renew mine right now. Money is really tight and I don't have the extra cash. Do you think it is really mandatory now? We didn't have a problem in 03. My license is different from my BC, it was different in 03 too. I guess I can grab my marriage license, just in cases.

Is anyone else rushing to get a passport?

We booked through a TA, so I will call her today and see when we can expect them. We are also on deck 2, rooms 2582 and 2584 . It is my MIL with us also so we are a total of five. I will have Jeremy reply to Spencer today or tomorrow- this week was very busy. Maybe we can all wear the same color or something when we meet. Really getting excited now!!!!

We did get passports before this cruise. DH and I talked about this and the cruise wasn't our only reason for getting them. We considered that my youngest would be going to Canada with school in a few years and my oldest two are in high school and may plan on taking a trip with the Spanish club. If my children are going to a country that will require a passport than I want one as well. I would hate for something to happen and not be able to get to a child. Plus, we hope to take more trips within the next 5-10 years. I think it's a lot of money to spend. I didn't like spending it but if I waited until I had to have one, I'm sure that wouldn't have been a good time financially either. Since more than likely we would be in the process of paying for another trip. Thankfully I saved at least 60.00 due to the price increase in a few days. Just my 2 cents. Anyone thinking about getting one now, they do say to allow 6 weeks. They do keep your original birth certificate, but you get it back with you passport in the mail. Ours took 1 1/2 weeks to get back. I thought I would be at the county building requesting new birth certificates if I didn't get the PP and BC back in time. Back to your question – I don’t think it’s mandatory now, but I can see a few years out. On our last cruise I did take my marriage license and they did look at it.

BTW Hope did Sara get the pictures McKenzie sent?

Karen, Are you talking about the pictues that she send a little while ago? If so, yes, we did get them. She is so excited to see her. Since her big sister is bringing a friend, she feels a little left out. But, I have been reassuring her that she will meet some friends before we board the ship!!

Hope, I'm sure we will meet up in line waiting. We have the 10:00 shuttle leaving the Radisson, so I know we will be there early. I think I read somewhere that you plan on being there early also. Tell Sara not to worry we are bringing 5 little and two older . McKenzie can't wait to meet her.

Okay, I have changed my mind in the last 10 minutes. I am getting my passport picture taken today or Monday. It will be easier for me as I am just renewing mine. We are too close to the cruise to do DH's since we would have to send his BC too!

Yes, I plan on being at the port around 9:30. I want to stand outside and get some pictures. We are taking my dd's friend with us. Her family will NEVER be able to do a DC. I want to take as many pictures as possible. I also want to video everything for them.

Disney Direct has some cute cruise wear. I really wanted to order something, but I didn't!

I dont kow if i can find anything DIS green, but lets go with that, I'll wear my pin lanyard though, so that can be a bit of a help, maybe, I'll possibly have a DCL hat too, I want to get that from the gifts package they sent w/ the cruise docs, the backpack and CD case look nice too *wants to many things right now for still not having a job *
