Turk, what's an s/n ?

Dh and I haven't told the kids about the cruise yet, and I am absolutely dying to!! I can't wait to talk to them about what they want to do and involve the whole family with the planning.

I want to know what's in that box of Hope's. :smooth:

Mary: I think I have been like you. Quick hops on every now and then. I feel like I'm missing sooooo much.

Monica: Two of my daughters had corn rolls (half a head) on the ship in April 04 and they were 2.00 a braid. Only one daughter wants to get them this trip. :earboy2: BTW sn=screen name.

I think I have all the trip plans in place. All that is left is shopping and packing.

I'm really getting excited with all our new fellow cruises that are joining our thread. Welcome!!! :grouphug:

Turk: I hope you get to take that bridge tour you are wanting to do. :teeth:

I'll NEVER tell what is in my box :cool1:

I'm just ready to go!! We didn't use walkie talkies last time, but I think we will take them this time since my 11 yrs old dd's will have sign out privelages.

Freezing rain here tonight :cold: Southerns don't handle that well. You should have seen the grocery stores today :rotfl2: They act like they are going to be snowed in for days!! It is going to be in the 40's Saturday.

Later...............

Hope - When is your parents cruise? Are they still checking out Paradise Beach for you? :moped:

:dancer: I just love these new smiles!!

I just called my parents and they just got off the ship. They should be home in about 9 hours. They said they were going to check out Paradise Beach, we will see when the get home!

Nine more sail dates, then it is our turn

I would like to know more about the bridge tour. When is it offered? How long is it? Sounds like something I would like to do.

I know my DH would love to do the bridge tour also. When and where do you get tickets for that. I remember taking a galley tour one day. I don't remember how I got tickets for it!! All I remember was being in front of Lumiere's and there was a line, I asked what the line was for and they said for tickets for the galley tour. I would like to do it again. I was the only one in my family that did this. The others were watching a movie.

So far the only thing that I think I need to make reservations for once on the ship is the hair braiding, which won't be something I will have to run to as soon as we get on the ship. I am hoping that we can walk on the ship and go eat. I don't want to run for ressies anywhere!

By the way, where is everyone planning on eating the first day? We went to Topsiders last time and it was so crowded. :crowded: I think we are going to try Parrot Cay this time.

Time to head to dd's basketball game!! Have a good afternoon.

s/n = screen name

My sister says:
Hi, my name is Ariel,
i am a 12 yr old and i am getting bumped up to teen s cuz my b-day is in june so does anyone want to hang out with me?so i am not all alone?

I've been reading different boards a lot the past few weeks about the limited space for the popular parts of this cruise. The idea of running to get in line for reservations to Palo, the spa, excursion reservations, etc is unsettling and reminds me of the Black Friday Christmas sales where five hundred shoppers line up at 4am and bum rush (hope that's not politically incorrect lingo) the doors when they open at 7am in order to get to one of the 100.00 DVD players in the back of the store. Tell me it's more civilized than that. We're all paying a heck of a lot of money to have a good time. The idea of being in constant competition with my cruisemates for good seats, beach chairs, bikes, a space by the pool, etc. and the picture of spending a decent part of my week standing in long lines only to be told, "We're out of __________" is making me regret my decision to book this cruise.

Well we finally got our room # we will be staying in 2022 cat9.

Turk- My son Kyle (12)will probaly get along with your brother very well. He is really into the games. Even Sean (8) loves the games. They would both stay on all day if I let them.

I'm making room in the house to put a box to start dropping things into as I get them. I'm so excited!! I think I'm more excited than the kids.

yazee1......don't worry about it. Some people feel that they have to be the first in line to make ressies. From what I have heard Palo always has cancelations and you can be put on a waiting list. I know my parents were going to go one night, but the winds were high and you could really feel the motion up higher so they decided not too. Some one else took their spot.

I am going to be standing in line as soon as I can only for hairbraiding because I didn't know about it last time and my dd was disappointed that we didn't get it done on the ship.

Chairs by the pool were hard to come by. I didn't save a chair early in the AM....I just circled the pool like a vulture until someone got up or a CM moved a towel.

I will be the first to admit that I did RUN off the ship with me oldest dd at CC....we wanted to be the first one on the beach. Most people stop as soon as they get to the beach. I have heard that if you keep going on down the beach there are tons of chairs & hammocks.

Again with Spa reservations, people rush to get AT SEA days. I believe there a lots of availablity for port days. They even run specials on those days.

I already have my excursions booked so I won't be running for those

People do make it sound worse than it is. :grouphug:

Karen..........my parents told me the Paradise Beach was GREAT. There was a family there with a couple of young girls that LOVED it too. I asked them about people meeting you as soon as you get out of the cab trying to sell you the wristbands for $5. She said they didn't approach them. But, they didn't have kids with them either. She said it was really nice and they plan on going back when we cruise in April. One thing they did say is that the water was really cold last week. She said, not a good time to cruise in January :cold:

If you have any specific questions you want me to ask them, let me know. I'd be happy to ask them for you.

Have a good evening!

Hope

jkssands: My brother wants to know if Kyle has pins and already wants to know where he should meet him :jumping1: does he have an e-mail he can e-mail him from?

yazze: I dont think it is going to be that much of a competition, its jsut getting there early and doing it, not a push and shove and run thing, besides, its really close to the entrance so you can just go right in and do it.

Thanks. The fear of the unknown. KWIM?

Turk- he can send Kyle an E-mail to JKSSANDS@BELLSOUTH.NET. He would love to get to know your brother before the cruise. He is trying to get some pins off ebay. How much is a good price to get the pins for?

Pin prices all depend on the pin, i would never go above 6.75 for any regualr pin though. the pins that you get AT WDW are 6.50 on average, with higher prices for some of the special pins and series, any time that you can get a pin under 6.50 is an awsome deal so if he likes it, grab it, but dont EVER go over 6.50 unless its like a magical moments pin or a limited Edition pin..but LE pins shouldnt go bvery much higher either

only 69 days!!! :hourglass

Well I just got me passporter today I now have alot of reading to do. I read on another post that they aren't doing pin trading with the CMs. You can still trade but not with them. Anyone know that to be true?
