Anyone for the Western cruise 4/9/05???

I have everything packed, last reminder for everyone!

We will be meeting Deck 10 above the Pizzeria at the deck party witht the green paint chips

I have to go to work, I'll have more spare time tommorow!

I want to send my parents and friends the link to the webcams where they can see me on the ship. Well, not EXACTLY see me, but they will know I'm there! :flower:

Last Saturday I watched the Magic leave Port Canaveral, around 6pm I think,(I was at this website-http://www.opusad.com/radissonwebcam/ ) and I was waiting to see it pass the two palms webcam (http://www.twopalms.com/ ) but I got impatient and must have missed it! Also, it got sorta dark and I think they turned the webcam off. Does it go by quickly or take a while?

Also, I just found this webcam- http://webcam.keywest.com/msindex.htm. Has anyone seen the ship there before?

What are the time frames I should tell them to watch? I mean, I'll say "Look at the Port Canaveral webcam on April 9th between 10-4pm, and that's when I'll be going on. Then look at the other webcam ______ minutes later to see the ship go by!"

Does that make sense? Lol! Will my plan work? :)

I'm getting VERY excited!

Hey everyone,
I have been busy packing for myself and dd. So many new messages to read, so little time left :cool1: The closer it gets the more nervous I am getting.

Madden 6 asked about Grand Cayman, I wanted to go to Rum Point Beach excursion, but when I called it was full. DH wants to book non-Disney, but I am not sure, mainly because of the travel time returning to the ship. The excursion to Seven Mile Beach was still open. We may do that.

Hope, Thanks for the info on Pop Century. We stayed as Fort Wilderness in 2001. The camp ground was wonderful, but I don't think we will pull our camper from TN to FL again.

:cheer2: Mandie was wondering, what grade Sara is in? (She is in 2nd)
I am so glad I started packing for her last week, she has out grown everything from last summer. We also went to Kohl's, but we went to Chattanooga.

I only have about 3 loads of laundry left, but need to more house cleaning before we leave. That may be the teens job on Wed. and Thurs.

Please tell me more about the deck party...

See you soon
Be joyful,
Tonia

Tonia, we live close to Chattanooga!!! We are in Scottsboro, AL! Sara is in 3rd grade, she is 8.

The deck party is great! It is on Deck 9 at the Goofy pool. They put a cover over the pool and turn it into a dance floor. It is a very magical time.

See everyone soon!

Hope

Well I'm not fully packed yet. I think I will have to finish on Thur and Fri. We don't leave until Sat AM. It's only a few hour drive for us.I had a detour tonight. There was a pin trading at the disney store tonight. I had to go. What a way to really get us in the mood for Sat. The trade didn't go really well but we did get some new pins and get to do a few trades.

The youngest DS (Sean) was so excited I don't know if he will make it until Sat. He wouldn't stop talking all the way home. That isn't like him.

It's getting late I better get to bed. Have lots of work to do to be able to leave for a week.

Sweet Dreams!!

Just got home from work....I am going to really pack tonight. I don't want to have any packing left tomorrow. I have last minute things to take care of tomorrow and a softball game. So, after tonight, our bags will be sealed! :)

I have one long day of work left (7 AM - 5 PM). Then it is vacation

Major stomach virus going around the pre-school I work at. We sent three kids home with it today!! I bet they are back tomorrow :sad2:

I really hope I don't catch what they have. I will be so angry at the parents for sending their kids to me sick!!!

Nothing I can do about it now, I have already been exposed! :earseek:

Better go pack.....dreaming of :mickeybar

As much as I am looking forward to meeting you, Hope, don't take it personally if I don't get within five feet of you.

As fast as this virus is spreading, I'll have it by Thursday or Friday, if I am going to get it!! :confused3 I also used tons of germx today! I almost took a bath in it :earboy2:

I am going to keep positive thoughts, I'M NOT GOING TO GET SICK!!! I DON'T HAVE TIME!!

I am still packing. I think I have packed enough clothes for 2 weeks vacation. I am sticking about four bottles of water in everyones suitcases. I have to have water in the middle of the night.
Both girls suitcases are done and I promised my dh I wouldn't put anything else in them :teeth:

I feel like I am forgetting something for myself though. I guess I am going to go dump my suitcase out and make sure I have everything.

Hope

My version of last minute shopping for the things I need for the cruise.....

I don't like to shop for clothes and the fact that I rarely get time alone (new to this area, no family near by, homeschool) and when I do it's not for more than a few hours doesn't help. I finally figured out how I should shop.

I tried out my new strategy last night. Dh met me at the mall and took the kids so I could have a couple hours to myself. I all but ran through JC Penney's grabbing two different sizes of whatever looked good so I could take it all home, try it on, and return what doesn't fit.

I think I like this strategy, I brought home 10 pairs of flip flops of which I like four, four dresses of which I liked none, twelve tops of which I like two, and two bathings suits of which I like neither but will keep one.

Tomorrow's going to be a busy day. Playdate and lunch with another family before we all leave for homeschool co-op. After co-op pack the car. Dh is coming home early and then we leave. We hope to get 5 or 6 hours of driving in before crashing for the night.

Well I hope everyone has a safe trip. Drive careful to all those driving.

Hope- Take some extra vitamin C. Hope you all stay well.

We are finishing packing tonight. I will lot the van on Friday night and we'll be off early Sat morning.

Jill

Looks like good weather for Saturday's sail away. 80 degrees predicted for Key West on Sunday, 87 for George Town, GC and about 90 for Cozumel!

We will get our luggage out on Friday to pack since the dog is a total spaz when she sees the bags. We have a four hour drive from SW Florida to the port.

Everyone have a safe and cootie-free trip!

Joni

Well everyone, we are leaving now. Can't wait to see everyone on the boat. Hope everyone has a safe trip.

Just a little note for those of you who like space, I think the Discovery space shuttle was pulled out to the launchpad so you may get to see a shuttle.

My DW was really excited. Well, I'm out.

See everyone real soon!

Jordan

Hope,
Guess who esle is sick! Mandie. Just a head cold, I think. She will not be going to school today. Maybe the rest will help her to recover quickly.

Have a great day :flower:

GREAT......a mother of one of my 2 year olds called me at 6:45 AM to tell me that he wouldn't be at school today. He is vomiting. So, out of 16 children, two went home with a stomach virus Wednesday, one is running a low grade fever & one is throwing up..........I NEED PIXIE DUST............

I am off to my lovely job...............Hope

Is anyone else still packing!! It seems like it never ends. I really wanted to clean my house a bit today, I hope I don't run out of time. Can't wait til tomorrow-- we leave for the airport at 7:00 am. I'll see everyone onboard!
Mary

I was hoping to be all packed last night. Didn't work that way. I'm still packing today. I have finished the kids pin books. Now I'm off to finish packing. See everyone soon!!!

Jill

I am going! if you want to recognise me i have red hair and am a little chubby. lots of freckles. name's Eric

Just came back from some last minute shopping. Now we just need to finish packing and take our cat to be boarded and we are ready to go! :Pinkbounc

Last night I couldn't fall asleep until 2:00 am!! I was laying in bed and going over everything a million times. We are all packed, leaving tomorrow morning...our flight is at 6:30 am, so that means we need to get in a cab at 4:30!!!!

Tonight I'll be double checking our luggage. We will have to check a suitcase and I'm bummed out because I try to always stick to carry-ons. But there is just too much stuff to bring, and I know we'll need some extra space for the trip home with all our goodies!! :)

I don't know how I'm going to get myself to sleep tonight!

-Katy

I just put the luggage tags on our suitcases. I am waiting for our dd's friend to bring her suitcase over. Then we can start packing the van. I had a flat tire on the van yesterday. Thank goodness it happened then and not while we were traveling. Ran over a sheet metal screw somewhere!

DH is almost done packing. He complained the whole time. He didn't want to pack a suit. I told him that I wanted a family picture. I don't know if I will get him to wear it or not. But, at least he packed it. We will have to send a lot of his clothes to be ironed as soon as we get on the ship.
