:sunny: Crystal, thank you for the sweet note to our friends after their magnent disappeared. The rest of us took ours down after the second time. Turk it must have been your little brother, dressed in red at the sail a way, that gave our little girls bubbles. Thank you. We had a magical trip & hope to go again some year. The last night made it easier for me to leave. :worried: We were deck 2 forward. The waves covered the porthole, so the waves had to be at least up to deck 3. The ship would be down in a trough & we could see the ocean above us. A CM had told my DH earlier that it would be a Perfect Storm :rotfl: Not. We we must have been in the same gale as the Norwegan Dawn. They were in the Bahamas. We docked at 5:45 & they got hit at 6. Maybe? Disney did a great jo & We loved the trip  Til next time, Linda :wave2:

Yeah, that was us giving out the bubbles, it had to be one of my sibblings, probably was Jake, he passed out most of them and he wore a red shirt

The picture that we stuck on their door was the one i printed off for our doors, but we dodnt have any strong magnets to make it stick (hince all the smiley stickers). If you go back quite a bit i posted the picture on here :p

And i told you those waves were really high!! :earseek:

Yes, I was in the day lot, waiting for the main one to open. We were the first one's to pull out. I have a white van. It was probably me.

Hope,

I told Daniela that you would be the first in line! Did you see Mario Andretti try to blast out of the lot, blocking everyone? A senior citizen, no less. He must have it really bad for Mickey.

What do you all think of Royal Caribbean. We're thinking of taking a little cruise in the fall. Research purposes, KWIM?

Monica,

RCI is a nice line. Daniela really enjoyed the kid's club and rock climbing wall on the Radiance. She wants to try the ice rink on the Navigator next. The Radiance Class and the Voyager Class are fine ships. The Mariner of the Seas (Voyager Class) uses Port Canaveral for it's eastern and western Caribbean itinerary. We met some Disney employees in St. Thomas who did not care for the Magic but loved the Mariner. The Voyager of the Seas will be sailing out of Cape Liberty starting in May for their 9-night cruise to the western Caribbean.

Check out cruisecritic.com for their message boards. RCI has a Meet and Mingle you can sign up for, also.

Welcome to the Hooked on Cruising Club!

Thanks for the advice, Joni. I'm sorry we didn't get to meet you and Daniela onboard. I'll check those resources out soon. It was hard to get back to schooling with so much to do upon return but we hit the books hard today and intend to do so....until...we....run out of steam.

Monica.........what wonderful pictures!! I just watched you slide show. It makes me want to go again!! I still have ours booked for Thanksgiving 2006. I just don't know if I can financially swing it. I have also been checking on the BEACHES resorts. I think that might be a fun vacation. Anyone ever done one of those???

Monica,

I hear you about the running out of steam business. UPS just delivered Daniela's new Lifepac curriculum (20% off during April with an additional 10% off an elective for phoning in the order). She is not pleased.

Hope,

Tell us more about the BEACHES resorts. Are they all-inclusive vacations? Also, what happened with the beeper situation?

Just checked my online bank statement, THEY CREDITED MY ACCOUNT BACK THE $150!! I didn't have to pay for the beeper!!! :cool1:

Beaches is an all inclusive resort in Jamacia. It is along the same lines as the Sandals resorts. Beaches for Familes. I went to their web site today beaches.com and they look beautiful!! Along the same price range for a verandah room on a DC. I would love to take a family vacation and my sisters will NOT do a DC. They have never cruised and think they will hate it! :confused3

Hope,

I saw the 1-800 BEACHES commercial, today. Looks nice. Would your family be content to stay in one area for a week? As long as there are activities to keep them occupied and multiple food choices, it should work. You know, you have spoiled them with cruising. It's a tough act to follow!

Would your sisters try a shorter cruise? Say 4 days? Maybe, once the media hoopla dies down about NCL Dawn's rogue wave, the bedbugs on Jewel of the Seas and the Grandeur of the Seas' starboard damage while docking in Costa Maya, your sisters might try cruising. We never thought we would like it either. Too confining, too many people, too many lines...

Good deal on the beeper! Disney usually comes through when it comes to customer service.

Joni

That's a relief about the beeper. I expected a good outcome for you. Disney has definitely spoiled us in terms of expectations for customer service. They really seem to bend over backwards in the area of customer service. Reality check back home... My friend and I took our kids bowling on Sunday because we were given a coupon at the homeschool curriculum fair. When we gave the coupon to the bowling alley employee, he looked it over, practically with a microscope, to find why we COULDN"T use the coupon. He even got the manager to look at it. The manager okayed it but the employee stressed to us (about 4 times) it was only good for ONE free game for up to FIVE of us (we were a party of six), if we played another round ALL those games were FULL price, and we HAD to be off the lanes by 5:30 because leagues started at 6pm. Later, my boys brought the bowling shoes back to the counter while my friend and I were helping the littler kids tie shoes and such. I could see the boys up at the counter being ignored as the employee addressed any incoming adults. Could he have been any more unpleasant? Well, only if he had bad breath.

Mom got all our pictures developed, wish i could get them on the internet with scanning for hours on end (i think we've got over 200 pics!!) and yes, Disney is always grand on Customer service

so sad, not having a trip to look forward to now, i cant belive its already been 11 days since we've left, and it seems like a eternity! :sad2:

I know! I'm truly depressed because I miss it so much! but the plus is we booked our next one on this cruise! lol and we r getting the same room and everything! oh but weren't the seas the last night horrible?! I got sick myself....it was really bad.....it was like the first time I went but with bigger waves (14 instead of 7)....hmmm so I'm still here if you want to recap memories lol
Katie!

Did anyone get their Shoreside Survival Kit? The CD is a nice reminder of the cruise. Daniela is now awakened by the Magic horn but without the warning!

Joni

I SOOOO wasnt to go back to the caribbean, we had RECORD BREAKING COLD TEMPS this morning!!!! :cold: :cold: :cold:

We got two CD's last time, (we should have had 4) and it was AWSOME *has one of the 2 CD's in his room ready to play the horn at any time* It's a great way to pass time between cruises

Wait, what are these cd's?? Will I be getting something from Disney? Or is it something you had to buy or sign up for? Is it just if you rebooked while on board?!

I'm having a very hard time coping with the fact that I'm off the ship...I could really use a nice surprise! :)

Sounds like a fun thing to do to the boys tomorrow morning. We just got our "Survival" packet today. I have track 8 "The shores of Castaway Cay" on continuous play right now. Can this survival package get us through 17 more months of being "stranded on dry land" ?

Editted to add: Katy, it's free and it doesn't have to be ordered. I hope yours comes soon!

Katy,

The Kit with your Castaway Club member card, a CD for your computer or CD player and a survey should be in your mail, soon. Another nice, Disney touch.

Joni

I can't wait to get mine in the mail. I haven't got one either. We are trying to get a group of adults together to go on a cruise. The boys will not be happy if we do this and don't take them.

Jill

We got our CD's!!!
YAY! I feel so special. :) Now if only I could book another cruise...they really rub it in huh?!

Lately I've been thinking about how cool it would be to win the "LIVE with Regis and Kelly" cruise giveaway...but even if I won, I know I'd just wish it was Disney and not NCL! haha. I'm so spoiled now!
