Anyone for the Western cruise 4/9/05???

My mother and me plan to do the wine tasting and high tea. If all works as we plan. We don't have an excursions in Cozmel or the Keys. I hope to take the boys on shore in the Keys early and then leave the boys on the ship in the afternoon at the lab and go to a few of the bars while we are there. Have to see what happens and how they are doing in there first. I have lived in Florida for about 20 years an have only been to the Keys one time and I wasn't of drinking age then.

I got all my snorkel gear today. All I need to get now is fins for oldest DS and KTTW holders and a few underwater cameras. I think that is all that I need now.

I'm going to finish packing next week while the kids are gone for spring break. We have plenty of summer clothes living in Florida. During school time the boys don't wear shorts so I can pack all of those.

Mary- Thanks for the offer on getting the mickey green from HD we already have ours.

Hope everyone had/has a great St Patty's Day. I had my green beer and cornbeef and cabbage.

I only wish I lived in Florida. I would LOVE it!! I told DH that is where we can retire!

I absolutely love it when the kids don't have school. I am so excited to be able to sleep in tomorrow! Sleeping in to me means, about 7 AM

I have mixed feelings. I would love for time to fly, but then what do I have to look forward too?? I am seriously thinking about rebooking and just not telling DH until I have too!!!

Hope, we're leaving Thursday night. We have reservations at the Radison Friday. I want dh and I take turns driving in order to get to Cape Canaveral by Friday about midday. Dh wants to drive until midnight, get a motel and finish the drive on Friday. We'll see.

Hi all, I was just reading the main cruise thread when I came upon something about them getting rid of Hercules the Muse-ical. They said something about the new show maybe starting in April. We could be one of the first ones to see the new show. Kind of exciting. Although I loved Herc, I could use a new show this time around.

Gonna really have to drag my mom out of the house to Home Depot soon, I'm getting so exited.

Gonna watch the DCL special in a few hours, gonna tape it for my dad too I secretly ordered the new DVD that DCL has on the main site, so shhhhhh dont tell her, it should arrive the day before we go or the day that we go, in other words, if we dont get it before, we have something too look forward too

For those of us driving, I guess we have to budget in more money for GAS I can't believe how fast it has gone up. I filled up at $1.99 a gallon and 10 minutes later it was $2.06 Is there an end in sight???

We just found out that we will be cruising aboard the Magic on these dates. We've never cruised before so we are trying to learn all we can in a short amount of time. It will be just the three of us- myself, DH and DD3. Can't wait! This is going to be an adventure!

we'll be meeting Deck 10 Midhip above the pizzeria at the deck party, we will be wearing lime green Mickey Mouse head paint chips (from home depot)

One dd packed!! I am working on the rest of us. I picked up the last of our laynards today. I can't wait much longer. I do realize these three weeks are going to fly. I just need to take a deep breath and hope nothing goes wrong between now and April 8!!

My youngest, Sara 9, is trying out for a competitive cheer squad the weekend before we leave. I hope she doesn't break something. They want her to be on the top of everything because she is so light
I won't be watching her practice.

I have a question.........my sisters and I are going to have my dads room decorated for his birthday (April 10). We are also going to pay for he & my mom to have dinner at Palo one night. Palo is charged to your stateroom, right?? So, I can give him a stateroom credit to cover that, correct??
But, the tip has to be in cash??

Is anyone going to DW after the cruise? I was going to start talking to DH about going for one night. I think we can be there by 10 AM and it stays open until 10 PM. Then drive home on Sunday............that to me sounds like a wonderful plan. I don't know if DH will agree

I think the tip is all you have to pay...am I wrong? and i dont think they would have you tip in cash, It's on the boat. but who knows

For youre sake, dont, we tried going for a day after our 3 day cruise and we were all EXAUSTED you would not enjoy it at all, especialy if you only have driving for hours too look ahead too :/

I just read this entire thread- whew! I will also be on the 4/9 cruise! It is my third (first 2 were only 3 nights) and my boyfriend's first cruise ever.
I am so excited!
I was LOL to read the beginning messages from all of you! I am so glad that I am not the only person who was stressing about which excursions to take. I think my bf thought I was nuts as much as I was talking about it! Now I can tell him we are just good planners!
Do you think if my excursions are still not booked yet, we will have problems with them being full?

Don't worry - I am nuts for reading the whole thing! I definitely have too much time on my hands!
I would like to book before we go. We are willing to book onshore non-DCL excursions as well- I guess wherever we can get more bang for our buck and a good experience. So far it looks like we would like to do maybe the Stingray City or a snorkel trip in GC and maybe go off on our own in Cozumel. Xcaret looked really neat there, but it may be too crowded/expensive. I have heard good things about Chankanaab Park as well and have heard you can get there pretty easily on your own without an excursion.
I guess I am just nervous about picking the best choice and having a good time ... there are so many choices!!!
Although I know overall everyone will have a great time!

Well on fri oldest DS came home rom school sick. He has a cough and a fever no other complaints. Sat night he got up to 104.3.I started to get really scared. He was due for more meds. After he took them the fever went down pretty fast. I also rubbed him down with a washcloth.

I'm going to the Disney outlet store in a few hours for the pin trading. I hope I don't but to much while I'm there. They have some cute clothes in there.
