Just put a deposit for the Western cruise today. Now I am trying to figure out our airfare!! I haven't seen anyone sign up for this date yet. Are we the only family on the boat?? I don't think so but I am looking for shipmates. Anyone out there??? :cool1:

Kate, Hubby, and 4 princesses!!!

WE'RE Going!!!!!!!

I was just checking today to see if anyone has posted this date yet -
I know there is at least one other DIS member going on that date - but I don't remember her name?!! -

It will be me, my DH - and 6 year old Princess -

We are also traveling with friends - and their two kids - DD will be 3 DS will be 6 -

Really looking forward to the cruise and I hope there are others going - Have you cruised DCL before?

Karen

Yes we cruised in March of this year on the Magic- Eastern cruise!! We enjoyed it so much we figured we would do it again!!
Actually we went back and forth with Cruise or Disney, but my little ones are 5yr twin girls, 4yr.old, and a 2year old!! So, therefore, they are pretty interested in just the characters. I am already planning things! I love this part! We haven't told the kids. Probably won't for a while. Otherwise its, "How many more sleeps MOM?" :wave

My daughter is going to love to hang out with your older 3 DD's - Mine is VERY INTERESTED in the characters - I think we will probably continue to cruise Disney until she is not interested anymore -

This will be our third - Our first was a 4 day (we were sold by the first night)
2nd was a Western and decided to do the Western again and are bringing friends this time - This will be their first DCL - For that matter, it will be their first cruise on any line! Hope they like it! (what's not to like!)

Karen

 I will also be on the 4/9/05 cruise along with my mom, sister, brother, niece and a friends daugher (both 6).

Still looking for my Southwest tickets. But they are not accepting dates after April 1st. How is everyone else getting down there? Still deciding when to tell the girls. I know they will be soooooo excited :Pinkbounc
Anyway our list keeps growing! hahoo

Where are you flying from? We are flying from So Cal - I believe Delta is the only one that flys non-stop for us - We have miles with United, so we may fly with them -

We already told our DD - It was a Christmas present last year (hard to believe that a year has gone by already!)

yvettpal! Very cool! Glad you are on our cruise! Two more 6 year olds! I think we might have to have a princess party or a princess tea!! I take it that you are a Stack participant? I just noticed you are from So Cal - Is that where your neice and her friend are from?

As I am reading everyones messages, the twins will be almost 6 and Molly will be 4 1/2. The baby will still be little 2 1/2,but she loves keeping up with the others.
We are flying from RI. Southwest seems to be the best bet for us I think. I am still comparing prices. I just made reservations to go down day before and stay in hotel near airport. I think it will just be easier with the little ones.

Kaitlin's Mom: I'm way too old for the Stack. :rotfl: All adults except for the 2 kids.

We are all from So California. We live in San Bernardino county, so I am waiting for Southwest. We usually fly out of Ontario. My brother lives near Long Beach, so he may fly out of LAX. Song has some good fares now and they are non-stop, so I'm hoping Southwest releases the dates before their internet sale is over, so that maybe I can get $99 fares each way again.

Of course the girls love the princessess. My niece has been Snow White twice for Halloween and I'm sure she will be bringing her costume again.

This is our (me, mom, sister, and niece) 2nd cruise. We did the land/sea vacation in March 03. This is my brother's first Disney cruise and the first cruise the friend's daughter.

Thank goodness.....I was beginning to believe I was on the ship ALONE. :earboy2: I tried to start a thread awhile ago and no one replied. We have been booked since April of 04!!

It is my dh, me, two dd's 11 & 9, plus a friend of dd's, 11. My parents are also going. We have two cat 10 connecting rooms on deck 7.

So, where is everyone from? We are from Alabama. We are driving down. Our dd's have their SAT tests the week before the cruise so we won't be able to leave until they finish their test on Friday. We are driving to Titusville, about 25 miles from the port. We will be at the port by 9:30 !! :cool1:

I would love to fly, but with 5 people, I don't know how we can :(. Oh well, a 600 mile drive will go by fast :scared1: :rolleyes1

Where is eveyone staying the night before?

Well, better go watch the Auburn & Tennesse football game!! Talk later!

I will be sailing with DH, DD6 (also a princess fan!) and DS (just born November 15!). We are from New Jersey (Morris County) and will be flying Continental the day before. We are staying in Orlando the night before and will be driving our rental car to the port first thing in the a.m.

I replied to the original post by Hopelea, but haven't been on the board very often lately.

Can't wait until the countdown clocks show less than 100 days! I booked this cruise back in the beginning of March, before I even knew I was pregnant!!

Mary

Mary, do you know what you are having? How exciting!!

Still nothing for Southwest yet. I think we may be staying at the Sheraton near the airport and then suttle back to airport in the morning.
I still haven't found out whether we can get early seating yet. I am keeping my fingers crossed. :jumping4:

yvettpal - Boy do I feel foolish! The way your origianl post read, it seemed like you were a teen posting that you were coming (you know, with your mom, brother, etc) Never did I think that you were older!! :confused3
sorry about that!!!

Kate - I think Mary meant (about being pregnant) that when she booked the cruise, she didn't know she was pregnant - and now she has already had the little one (Congratulations Mary!!) Time flies when you are having fun!!!

Karen

How are we going to pass the next four months? :cool1:

I can remember when my countdown clock said 372 days!!

Does anyone know which excursions they are going to take yet? In Key West I think we are going to take the trolly tour. I want to see all the "key" spots. We walked around last time......I didn't enjoy it!

Cozumel, I don't know if we are going to do anything. The last time we did the Beach Break. It was fun.

Grand Cayman we did the stringray tour. I just don't know what we will do.
My oldest dd doesn't want to get off the ship this time. She said that missed all the cool things in the lab!

Hope everyone is having a great evening! Talk to you soon.

Hope

Kaitlins Mom: No problem!

As far as excursions, we definately want to go to Stingray city. My niece has loved stingrays since she saw them at the Long Beach Aquarium.

In Key West, we will probably take the trolley tour.

I don't know what we be doing in Cozumel.

Hi all!

Just wanted to add a couple more princesses to the mix! We are coming with DD10, DS8, and DD6.

This is our very first Disney Cruise. The Kids don't know about it yet, they are going to unwrap the travel brochure on Christmas day!

Where should we stay the night before the cruise? I am waiting for Southwest as well, the cheapest direct flights for me. Anything else I should look at besides these boards to help plan?

Thanks for your help!

Disneydreamer - I have the bought the Passporter book and bring that along with me on the cruise - Even though I am on the boards a lot (probably too much) I really like the passporter book - It includes excursion ideas and things to do and what not to miss - all in one book - It is handy to have before and during the cruise -

We are probably going to stay at the Hilton (we use Hilton points) The one in Cocoa beach really does not live up to the Hilton standards, so not sure if we will stay there again - but should probably make a decision soon -

Key West - Will probably stay on the boat this time - Might do Trolly tour, but last time we were there, it was soooo hot - Would not do the tour if it was that hot again. - Walked around last time and had DD with us. Not a place to take young kids! Didn't know it at the time - Shirley from the Perfect Gift always has flyers and things to do there (she is from there) might get some stuff from her to see where we should go if we do decide to visit.

I think were are going to do the Stingray one - That is suppose to be really cool!

Grand Cayman last time we did the horseback riding on the beach - That was neat, but it is one of those things you do once (for me anyways).

Thanks for your help! I have ordered the passporters already, and am waiting to get it (I love the passporters for WDW)

Stingray city is the only excursion that I think we really must do, but from reading these boards, it looks like it might be a good idea to book one of the independant tour operators like Captn Marvin's for this tour. I am not sure if I am brave enough to do that though, and was wondering if anybody had some imput on that.

Thanks again! :flower:

We are also thinking about the excursion to Stingray City, but will probably book through Cap. Marvin's because I think I read on the boards that the baby cannot go on excursions booked through DCL and this way DH and DD can do the swim and the baby and I can just go along for the ride.

Kate-- Karen has it right, I just had the baby, a boy, Matthew. When we booked back in early March I didn't know I was expecting. DH wanted to cancel the cruise, but I managed to convince him that it was now or wait 3 years-- my logic being that a cruise would be easier with a young infant compared to a toddler!!

Karen-- Which Passporter do you have? I have the old one and was wondering if it would be worth it to get the new one.

Disneydreamer-- Welcome!!

Mary

We did the stingray tour through DCL. I am the biggest chicken there is...that is why I booked with DCL. I just felt safer. We had a great time.
Yes, it was crowded. But we did love it!! I would do it again.

There were people from the DIS board that went with us that booked through Captain Marvins and had a ball. I guess if I went with a group of DISers it would make it easier for me to go out on that limb

Will everyone be doing the DCL trolly tour in KW? I have heard that it is better to do it on your own because you can get off and on as you please.
I am going to check on that. I know we won't be walking the island again!

Church supper club coming over Friday night. Must go clean. 12 adults and 15 children!!! Don't think I should worry about cleaning the house before

Have a great evening!!

Hope
