Anyone for May 09????

I know some of you had told me we should go, so I thought I should let you know the P&P Parties for 2009 were canceled on Nov. 28th.

This is the information Disneyworld sent to me:
We have been told that the Pirate and Princess Parties that had previously been scheduled for the first half of 2009 have now been canceled. If you have already purchased tickets to this event, you should call Disney at 407-W-DISNEY to inquire about refunds.

Just an fyi...

Thanks for the P&PP info !! Disney is acting strange this year with some not so nice changes !! Well I will go to MNSSHP in Sept.

Thanks, I had heard about the P&PP being canceled. A bit disappointing but oh well, that is $100 we can spend on something else. :goodvibes

Apparently reservations are way down after Feb which is causing Disney to have to make cuts like this. They also cut down the Flower Power concerts and it is also probably the reason why we do not have park hours yet, they are trying to figure out what attendance in the parks is going to be like.

I have updated my list on Page one ! Any other corrections !! I am soooo excited about my extra trip in Feb!!

Southwest just opened all their May dates. However, I am going to hold off, I think 250 person is to much. Does anyone know if I book and rebook will they refund the difference?

 $250 is usually the lowest price we can get up here. How much do plane fares usually cost where you live? Just curious as I find it interesting how much they can vary depending on the airport.

I live in Pittsburgh, PA. We have flown for $110 (SW) round trip to $220 round trip on AirTran. That is why i am hoping for a good ding. Where are you flying out of?

That's usually what we pay per person ONE WAY!
You're lucky - you're closer to Disney that us.

We fly out of Syracuse, NY. The cheapest fares out of there are usually $250 which is significantly cheaper than the flights out of Canada which run around $600 per person. :scared1:

They will either refund the difference once you return and submit the proper documentation or they will give you a credit toward a future flight. Good luck with a Ding!!

We already have our Delta tickets purchased. My sister is giving me and DH ours for Christmas and we purchased the tickets for DDs. I know we could have gotten cheaper tix on Southwest but since DSis was giving Delta we weren't going to be choosy!! Plus we won't have to worry about trying to get on and get all of our seats together.

Well the Disney Cheerleading is OFF.Not enough families would commit with such short notice !! Bummer !! But at least I am still going in May !!

Sorry your Feb. trip is not happening, but you still have May! Now if we could get park hours, updated DDP info and ADR's we would be set.

We're flying out of Indianapolis, Indiana. Our tickets are round-trip, non-stop flights and they are costing just over $200 for the both of us. It's pretty sweet. :)

Fellow Hoosier!! What are your dates?

As for flying...I don't know. I keep trying to talk myself into it because it would be easier...but then I would have to check the carseat etc. I would have to rent a car at least part of the time. I need to quit stressing! Its about $199 per person for me and DS, but that's still more than I would spend on gas, PLUS the rental! I had priced it last week for about a week earlier since May wasn't open yet and it was like $230 ALL TOGETHER for both of us! Roundtrip! Boo :( Darn school!

Well I booked my flight on SWA it is $314 , but I will be looking for a Ding or a cheaper price and as I am going in Sept can use the credit then !! Seeing as I savedd $271 on the 4/3 I don't feel bad !! Now for Sept I am hoping for Free dining as we will be a large groupat least 9 of us so the dining will be the best deal for us !! We plan to upgrade to DLX dining if we gwt free !!Now allI need is those May hours !!!

I bought AirTran out of Baltimore fro a little under $400 for the both of us. Better than the rates for Southwest right now!
