Anyone following the Zahra Baker case?

Didn't find a thread here discussing the Zahra Baker case. Is anyone else following it? Things keep getting more and more strange in this case. I wish they would find her body so she can be laid to rest.

The poor girl had such a rough life. She was a cancer survivor who then had to endure abuse by her step-mother. So sad...

yes and I am DISGUSTED by how many people who knew the family and are now saying they are not surprised because they knew she was being abused...but they DID NOTHING....how do they sleep at night????

Sadly family and others did contact the Department of Social Services but they did NOTHING. I think our system needs to be changed. If DSS ignores cases such as this and they have such a tragic ending THEY also need to be held accountable. If they were to be held accountable for ignoring cases of abuse I bet they'd start doing a much better job.
