Anyone fly from Saginaw Michigan?

We have flown from there once to Disney. The flights were non-stop from there and it is a SMALL airport with a stop in Detroit. Dh routinely flies out of there for work and will get there 30 minutes (gives me serious anxiety :scared1:) before his flights leave and is fine. I think there are only 4 or 6 gates.

If you are looking for other options, we really like flying out of Flint to Disney. There are some non-stop options at (typically) very good prices. Next April we are flying non-stop for $99 each way.

MBS is a small regional airport that has Delta and United flights. Parking is located in front of the terminal building (3 minute walk). You can drive up to the front and drop-off. There is a single security line which usually takes 5 to 15 minutes.

Delta flights go to Detroit (DTW) and MSP. In general, allow at least 45 minutes for connections at DTW. You will arrive at Terminal B or C and then depart from Terminal A. The reverse occurs for the return flight.

Allegiant Air is scheduled to start direct flight service to Sanford (Orlando) Nov 3rd, Thursdays and Sundays only.

Arrive 60 minutes before your flight and you will have 40 minutes of free time.

That is exactly why I was asking. Allegiant has some great prices. We are driving from Northern Ontario so for us, it is a 7 to 8 hour drive to Buffalo, and 6 to 7 hour drive to Saginaw, (which I just found on Allegiant today) So I always check, FLint, Grand Rapids, Buffalo, Rochester and Niagara Falls. Saginaw on Allegiant says it is NOn stop, what is their baggage fees like?

If so, what was your experience? Please let me know, thanks?

I have flown numerous times from Flint and sooner choose that over MBS. Airtran operates out of FNT and if you catch the AM flight to Orlando it's a nonstop flight. Similar size airport and easier to reach from I-75 than MBS.

We flew Allegiant out of Youngstown, OH last March into St. Petes-Clearwater and we live in Oakville but worth the 4hr and a bit drive. We paid $496 inc taxes for 4 tickets. We took carryon luggage and got seats together at the airport so no extra fees. We had washer and dryer at our 4 bedroom vacation home. Baggage fees vary depending on your route if you look on their website. From Saginaw it is $20 each way if you prepay when purchasing ticket.

We are in Kalamazoo and prefer to fly from Detroit simply to avoid a connecting flight. Flew Spirit last time but check all their fees before doing that. Their checke bag weight limit is 40 pounds so watch that too. I think we may fly from Grand Rapids next time through Allegiant into Sanford and stay off property. Parking at Detroit is easy and we just really hate connecting flights with 2 little kids.
