Has anyone used this airline, did you enjoy your flight. Was there a schedule change. (sorry, my question mark on my keyboard is not working :scared: )

My mom used Airtran twice last year, no schedule changes and no problems. We are using Airtran in the spring, detroit to orlando, 800 dollars for the 4 of us! :goodvibes

never have, but friends flew out of Buffalo and loveeeed it. they even selected there seats ahead of time,. which i was not able to do on Southwest.

I haven't yet, but we are booked for next March. Friends of mine flew it in May and had a great flight. They were worried as they had read some poor reviews, but they were very happy with everything. They too picked their seats ahead of time. We have also picked our seats. It isn't much more to do that.

I'm booked on Air Tran from Buf to MCO on March 5th, 2008 :cheer2: and am looking forward to travelling nonstop with them, and yes, I have pre-booked my seats:thumbsup2

we flew airtran fom Buffalo last December and are booked again for this December. I highly recommend it. The flight was great, the service was great, the price was fantastic. When we fly to Florida I doubt that we will ever fly out of Toronto again! I think that we have saved about $800 over Air Canada or West Jet

We have flown Air Tran several times, only one change in flight time 10 minutes later. We have had delasy out of their control for weather but other than that they are great. We did pre book our seats last trip, there were six of us so we could be all together in 2 rows. We are using them again with just 4 in December and will not pre book this time.
Have a grea trip

we're flying with them in 10 days. we prebooked our seats online. it cost us about $750.00 for 4 seats. i was also happy to get a nonstop flight!

i'll let you know when i get back! :)

:thumbsup2 Thanks for the input everyone!
One more quick question, the fare i was going for is in on a Sunday next May. Right now the non-stop down is $117/person. The first row (cheapest fare row) is totally empty. Do you think these fares are sold out? Is $117 on a Sunday a good fare? I was thinking of waiting for Jetblue to check them when time came.
Any "fare" advice ?

I booked some Clients on a March Break cruise this year..they were 2 families of 4. They booked their own flights with Air Tran approx 6 months at least prior. Checked in online..seats selected, whole 9 yds. They are at the airport, gate actually..all checked in as mentioned. They begin boarding. Their friends board..they are asked at the DOOR to wait. So, they step aside..and wait. They are told they are overbooked and they are being offloaded. They are furious, and treated very rudely by the Gate agent and also told, they CANNOT get their bags off (where is homeland security at this point??)

Meanwhile, they begin to process 3 stand-bys???? The friends agree to carry on the flight..and they are instructed to return to the check in counter where a new flight will be arranged 3 DAYS LATER! One day after their Ship sails! They offer a partial refund of the air..and are pretty much told bye bye when they decline the air 3 days later. They meander the Airport seeing if anyone has anything avail and of course being March Break, nobody does. Finally, someone from US Air I believe it was..suggests if they can get to Cleveland (? I think it was) they can get them on a flight out of there to Orlando 6 hrs later. They WERE flying to Miami. Sooo they rent a car...and make the drive and get on the flight to Orlando. They arrive Orlando..rent another car....drive to Miami arriving in the wee hours. They missed the entire day..at South Beach. The new air cost them $1,100 USD for the one way.

The Husband complained bitterly at the airport in Buffalo..sent a letter upon returning...and nothing. He then relayed to me...and though I had not made the booking..I sent an email..telling AirTran that I would be sure to pass this account along to everyone I worked with and in any means possible get this appalling treatment out there! I got a reply within 24 hrs..they said they would call the passenger imediately ..and almost imediately (24 hrs after that) they did. They refunded them in full as well as what they had to pay out to get where they were going, car rentals included. In the end, they made a judgement call and went with Customer Service but at the end of the day they ruined this Vacation for this family with kids...and I will still make a point of saying 'beware' when it comes to Air Tran. I hope, this happens to nobody here!

OMG :scared1:

I'm curious as to why they were singled out:eek: ?

Thank goodness they at least got all their money back, but I would like to know what the reason was for pulling them off the flight if the airline was processing stand-by's?

Just wondering????

You know, I am not sure they had any idea why?? They suspected there were 3 seats avail...at that point, so not enough to allow them to continue boarding..as what are the odds that 1 would travel alone, and albeit 3 days later??? So they took the chance to offload all 4...and process the 3. There were no clear-cut answers provided by AT at any point and they pretty much implied that the call was theirs to make and no explanation was necessary or mandatory.

Air travel and the rules (there are few) and regs are a whole different ballgame Stateside!

These folks will never travel from Buffalo again and they were HUGE supporters of it. Shame..
