anyone flown with KLM or Aerlingus to orlando?

Hiya everyone,
just pricing up december flights and KLM and Aerlingus are coming up cheapest, indirect but that doesnt bother me. However when i stumbled across reviews they were scary to say the least so thought i better come and ask the pros. Any experiences to share?

is it actually KLM the whole way to orlando, or do you switch to another airline? (martinair?)

I fly aerlingus most of the time and love them could never fault them They have now added tvs to the headrests on all usa flights so another plus now

Going out KLM do the first leg, then Delta take over. Coming back its all KLM

i think all the airlines are pretty much the same these days - very little allowance...

as for KLM ....i've never flown them to orlando, but i've flown them other places...in my experience, their planes are not the newest....and they don't have the most advanced entertainment systems...

Planes were actually Delta London-Detroit and Northwest Detroit to Orlando.

Great flights and I'd glady do the route again!

that is only true if you are on the northwest (now delta) planes...
the actual KLM planes are not nearly on the level of the northwest planes..

i've flown the amsterdam-detroit route many times on NWA planes..
they're great....but if you're on KLM planes you won't have the same experience...
in other words, it's important to know who's actually operating the plane...

you didn't say what the route is..
there is no NWA overseas flight into orlando as far as i know...
so if you're talking about KLM to schiphol, then Delta (the NWA planes) into Detroit and then delta from Detroit to orlando...i would definitely recommend that route....

but you don't specify the route....it makes a big difference...

I usually fly KLM and have never had a problem. I'm not flying with them to Orlando in March as they were quite a bit more than US Airways quoted.

i know you mentioned your route ..
i was referring to the OP's route - i don't know if she was talking about the route you quote...
your route is fine...
but it's not clear to me that she was referring to that route in her question about KLM...

because when actually flying on KLM planes, the experience is not the same as on that Northwest plane you flew to detroit (assuming you were on an airbus) - those planes were the NWA flagship planes before nwa was taken over by delta...
