anyone flown with icelandair?

found a great deal for 2014 but i have never flown with them before?

anyone used iceland air economy?

Some family memebers flew with them via Rekjyavik a few years ago. Apparently there was terrible turbulence over Iceland(so bad that people were screaming) and so they vowed never to fly with them again. Of course this could have happened anywhere, but they did feel that they weren't as nice as Virgin in terms of service too.

Personally if you don't have small kids (making stopovers a pain)and would prefer to spend the cash saved on other stuff when you are ther, then go for it!

yeah no little ones, just me and DH. We quite like the idea of a 2 night stopover in Iceland which you can do for no extra cost with Icelandair and actually wind up saving money on the flight because the tax is less!

We are pretty easy going on flights to be honest. We get on, we read a book, eat and watch movies so unless they are awful at service it shouldnt bother me!
I do like to be comfy however which is my main concern although the website says the seats have 32" pitch so...

I flew with them New York to Manchester via Iceland and I thought they were alright and very friendly. No turbulence issues but I suppose that just depends on each flight. The flight from Iceland to Manchester had more empty seats than occupied ones so a nice stretch out was easy before returning to rainy Manchester
