I'll be flying Virgin Atlantic out of Newark to London Heathrow in June..

Never heard anything about this airline. Visited their webpage and it looks nice !! :cool1:

Just wondering if anyone could tell me firsthand :)

Yes we always fly to the US with them if they fly to the city we want :) Best bet is to pop across and ask on the UK boards as they are the biggest or one of the biggest carriers to Florida from the UK.

Claire ;)

DH and I went to London 15 years ago thanks to an all expense paid trip that I won through work and we flew Virgin Atlantic - it was the biggest plane I've ever flown on and definitely no complaints (other than it being a LONG plane ride and I can't ever sleep on planes).

Virgin is a pretty good and safe website. They are a pretty well known airline, they are owned by the famous Richard Branson. Wouldnt hesitate tofly them at all.

We flew Virgin Atlantic JFK-London last year and loved the airline. Even in coach, there are special touches like little amenity kits, and there is a TV on the back of every seat. To contrast, last month I flew JFK-Berlin on Delta and didn't like it -- no amenity kit, and a few screens in the aisles playing movies for entertainment. I would fly Virgin Atlantic any chance I got --go for it!

Thanks everybody. I'll be flying Newark to London on June 11th !!! :-D

Just a head's up if you've never flown a non-US carrier. The baggage weight limits on Virgin are very tight, and there IS a weight limit on carryons as well as checked baggage. I'm not sure what their limits are at the moment, and it sometimes varies by class -- be sure to double-check their website before your flight. The penalties for overweight bags are quite stiff.

The only reason we ever fly with anyone other than VA, is if they don't fly to that destination. You will really be happy with your choice.
