Anyone flown Aer Lingus?!

Im doing this from Ireland side so UK travelers might not have the first security part I don't know how that works but After security you have duty free I did not buy anything so don't know how it works ie if you get too keep it and bring it or collect it on the other side get everything you need before you go through pre clearance as they only have a small cafe type shop it does sell soft drinks but not a great choice. Just too add you have to treat pre clearance like entering america so any food that can not enter The USA can not come on the flight with you so no fruit meat sandwiches ect... After Pre clearance you go through another security point but you are aloud to have your drinks through this one and you don't have to take any liquids out for this one .

ETA.... they don't sell duty free items such as cigarettes and alcohol on board the flight once you clear Customs and Immigration so get what you need In the one in the airport They also have a limit on how much you can buy Can't remember what it was but am going through again in november so can update then.

I did figure that with the food etc. But thanks for the info and to pad406 as well.

Can't wait not long to go now. I'm getting that mixed with that I always get before we go away. I liked to be prepared so that it takes that hassle out of travelling as much as possible.

As for the others with wait times on the way back we have 5 hours to wait so figure we will check into one of the lounges to get some peace and quiet before we head back to Edinburgh.

We looked at doing Aer Lingus because we also wanted to fly business class but found the prices on VA and BA really expensive and had no miles to play with. We were put off of Aer Lingus just because we found the lay over too long on the way back from Dublin to LGW, so we then found the Delta route LHR to MIA and are now going to do the 4 hour drive up to Orlando the morning after we land.
