Here's the thing - we went for the first time as a family in June and fell in love - absolutely everything about the trip was magical!! We did a lot of character meals including CRT and Askerhaus. My DD(4) loves the princesses but for our trip in Dec. I am thinking about not doing Askerhaus and just doing CRT - BUT I feel so guilty b/c, who knows, even though we say we would like to come back again soon, that could change and I am worried she could outgrow the princesses by our next trip. PLUS she is only 4 and was 3 the last time we were there - so I wonder how much she will remember, and therefore should we do it again and again so she WILL remember.

I want to try new resturants each time, but want to give my two kids the most magical trip possible. I also have a DS(8). Which having said that - I also feel guilty that we aren't going during Star Wars weekends again and instead are going in Dec.

I would just do CRT or Akershus, not both, depending on which princesses are at the top of your DD's list. I think it makes it even more special when it's just one princess meal rather than many.

IMO... you can't outgrow princesses :)

Totally agree!! I was so happy when my daughter was born, knowing that I would no longer have to fight with my 3 "men" about dining with princesses. I still remember her face the first time we did ... she was 5 and it was the perfect age. We have some great pictures from that meal at Akershus. What fantastic memories! At 17 and 15, I can't get my guys to do princesses, but my daughter and I still love them!

Well, I agree you can't outgrow the princesses, my DD14 would disagree strongly! (maybe she isn't really mine...:lmao: Just Kidding!!!)

On our last trip my girls were 14, 9 and 6. We did CRT breakfast as we always do, and even DD14 liked it, the younger 2 and I loved it as always. We also did Akerhaus for dinner but DD14 opted not to go with us. The younger 2 loved that as well. I know some outgrow it and others don't, but I think it wil lbe a while before she does.

I would love to eat with the Princesses..... Now If I could only convince my boys they are cool. HMMMMM

Me too, I'm 38 and I cant wait to feel like a little girl again and pretend I'm a princess too. My little girl can't wait she's 2.princess:

Yeah... You NEVER outgrow princesses. I would have loved to went there in May... but instead my family voted on Chef Mickey's, which is cool cause i wanted to go there too.

YES! I'm feeling guilty too! My older daughter (will be almost 4 when we go) is OBSESSED with princesses. We are definatly going to Akerhaus b/c I'm tettering back and forth about 1900 Park Fair (dinner). I keep reading bad reviews and just don't want to spend that much money going there if it's going to be a bad meal. But then the guilt kicks in and I feel like - what if we don't make it back to disney for 5-6 yrs?? haha

I wouldn't feel guilty just over a character meal. You are taking your kids to DISNEY WORLD!!! They are so lucky to get to go and I know that they will have a great time. Frankly, they might not even remember any of the character meals, but they will remember having a great time with their family. Just do what you want to do and have fun. Your kids will remember all the fun even if they don't remember the details.

We went to Park Fare for dinner in 07 and it was one of our better meals on-site. We actually went for ME, because I'm totally outnumbered in my family of boys and even a male dog! LOL My boys were 12 and 8 at the time, and they enjoyed eating there just as much as I did. They even got photos with Cinderella and the gang (although my 12 year old DS DID NOT want to have a photo with Prince Charming....he's at that age....:lmao: ). I thought the food was really good...especially the strawberry soup, which was incredibly yummy!!
