Anyone familiar with Roseville, CA?

I'll be visiting family in Northeast Sacramento, a few miles from McClellan Air Force Base. I'm thinking about staying in Roseville. Would this be an easy drive back and forth? I figured this would be easier than staying in Sacramento and fighting that traffic. Any specific recommendations on lodging would be greatly appreciated.

The only "Roseville" I'm familiar with is Roseville, Michigan! Sorry.

Roseville is a suburb of Sacramento with, I'm sure, plenty of newer hotels. I wouldn't stay in Sacto unless I had to. Besides, the suburbs have all the newer hotels, shopping malls, restaurants etc. I'm not familiar with Roseville as far as what hotels are there, but an internet search should reveal some good deals.

Roseville is pretty far from NE Sacramento. I have been there many times but it has been 6 years since the last time I was there. It has built up a lot since then.
We always enjoyed staying around Arden Fair Mall at the Hilton.
It was central to the things we wanted to do.
I would look online more before picking Roseville to stay at.
