Anyone excited for Blizzard Beach?

They've just announced Blizzard Beach will be open at the same time as Typhoon Lagoon this Summer!

This has genuinely made my holiday this year. It is our fave water park and as we can only go to Orlando in August, the last time we were able to visit was 2017.

Thank goodness. In 2025, anyone with a Disney resort booking (even those without tickets) is entitled to a free water park entry on check-in day. Not much use to those of us with UK tickets, but plenty of US guests will be taking full advantage of it, as they have to pay to add on water park entry. I was worried about queues because last time we went in August, the queues were ridiculous. Our previous 8 trips before that were in winter, when only one water park was open, but of course many US guests do not visit when it's 'cold', so the queues were not bad. We only had one park to choose from but got to go to both over the years. So excited we'll have both to choose from this year. We stay on site and have a hire car, so it's easy for us to pop to the water parks for a few hours throughout our 2 week trip

Yes, but the timing is terrible for our trip. We haven’t been to Blizzard Beach in a very long time since we’ve always been when it’s been closed. On our next trip we arrive on April 30th, the same day that is Blizzard Beach’s last opening day (and we obviously arrive too late to go), and we fly back on May 21st, the first day it’s open again I suppose as our flight back is late, we could go on our travel day, but it’s not ideal to travel home with wet clothes in the luggage.

As first I wasn't excited because I didn't know about it. Then I read OPs post and got excited about it because I've never been to Blizzard Beach. And finally, like the poster above, I realised Blizzard Beach will still be closed for my whole trip (2 May to 17 May).

It's been a rollercoaster of emotion over the last 5 minutes!
