Anyone ever used a Coinstar E-Gift card to purchase a Disney GC?

I have been putting my coins in a large jar for a while now, I thought that I would get a Southwest Airline GC with it but with the very high Airfare that Southwest is offering, will be flying another airline.

I was wondering if anyone has had success getting either a Lowes', Babies R Us or another E-Gift card offered by Coinstar and using it to purchase a Disney Gift Card? Thanks

Lowes won't work.

Babies R Us should work, but reports have been mixed lately. Generally, you need to keep the transaction under $100.

Do they have Best Buy? I've heard people have had success there. I got a BB gift card for Christmas and have been meaning to try it, just haven't gotten around to it. Good luck!

Best Buy GCs cannot be used to purchase another GC but you can use your Best Buy Rewards certificate to buy one.

I guess I will have to pay the high % rate if I want cash, I wished they offered Disney Gift Cards as one of there choices.

Doesn't your bank have a free coin counter?

Did this change since November? Because I used Best Buy gc's to buy eBay GCs using the website with in-store pickup.
The only Disney GCs that I see on the Best Buy website are for Disney Interactive. They must not keep regular Disney GCs in stock online. I know from anecdotal information that the BB GCs won't work in-store for Disney GCs.

I use the Coinstar for the Starbucks gift cards.

Since all of the parks have them now, we go there for our breakfast and snacks.

A couple times a year I roll all my change and just take it to the bank to be deposited into my vacation savings account. I got the change rolls at the dollar store and rolled it all while I was watching tv. To me it's worth it to not have to pay coinstar a %.

Darn, darn, darney, darn! I thought I read somewhere that it would work but I guess not! I may try it this weekend anyway since I will have some time on my hands and a $100 Best Buy gift card that I don't know what else to do with!

I use the coin counter at the grocery store, which offers no charge for a gift card from them. Then I use the cash I would have spent on groceries towards Disney fund.

That is crazy. I don't know any local bank without one, you just have to ask.
We used to have one, but they took it out. The bank didn't like paying the fees associated with carrying it and having people come in and use the coin machine and the bank not get anything out of it.

The only banks around here that have coin counters (that I know of) is TD Bank. My bank doesn't have one.

I get the coin wrappers free from the bank and roll my change with my kids. We have fun doing it. It doesn't take as long as you would think.

Where I live, I don't know of any Stores that have this feature. All that is available is Coinstar, they are cornering the market with these machines.
