Anyone ever used a "buddy pouch" at the parks?

It's a total puzzle to me how you are going to cut down from two backpacks with shoes, etc. to two of those little wallet things, but, if you can more power to you. There are, of course, a lot of things that I don't understand and that is the obsession with not going through security bag check. I have never been held up there and except for a minor pause when they were looking at the bag, it only added probably less then a minute to the time to get in. It's not that big a deal. It's not like an airport with metal detectors and the like. I just always have each compartment open and they just look in it, maybe move a thing to see what is behind it, hand it back and say... Have a magical day.

That procedure that I mentioned isn't one that I deal with a lot anyway. I carry nothing but my phone, wallet and camera (which is smaller then a pack of cigarettes) for an entire day of touring. It's always a mystery to me what all that backpack stuff can possibly be. Oh, well!

I agree with goofyernmost. For the OP, what would you leave in the room so that you can use this case and avoid bag check?

And a more pertinent question, why? If you want the extra shoes, if nothing else, just spend the extra 1-3 minutes to go through bag check. It's just not that big a deal.

I DO bring a backpack, but that is because I visit in my role as a group tour director. I need my binder of information and several other items for my group. And as the PP said, as long as you try to pick a short(er) line and have your compartments open, it takes just a few seconds. I joke with the guard about being the group pack mule, we share a laugh, and I'm headed in the park.

Well, then I don't suggest coming thru the Animal Kingdom bag check at 9:30am on a Friday.... or maybe you should and you would see. Actually around 9, they are all bad. HS has a nice quick unkown one in the side towards the parking lot, so that helps..

I'm thinking of getting one, too, just not necessarily for the parks. Looks like a well-designed product!

I shouldn't have read this thread. I was settling on bringing my small bag for essentials but now I kind of want these instead. I kind of am an EDC person and always carry things like my Kindle, poncho, tissues, meds, snack, etc. Does anyone know if two of the bigger buddy pouches could at least carry two inhalers, a few painkiller pills, two cards, a cheap dollar poncho, and a battery pack the size of an average smartphone with a usb cord? If so...this is a winner. I already carry my phone, flashlight and wallet with me.
