We used another member's points to book the Contemporary before BLT was built. They had booked a cruise, had to change the cruise and had left over points. They were selling them for about $8 a point. Ultimately, they actually sold them to us for about $6 a point. It was a nice stay.
The consequences of using points for the Disney Collection. You can't use them for DVC reservations. They become reservation points.
