Anyone ever upgrade to club level at check in?

We're checking into the wilderness lodge in just over 3 short weeks!

A couple of years ago, I had a friend tell me that when she went to check in to the wilderness lodge, she asked about the club level & how much it would be to move her there for her trip - it was some ridiculously low amount, like $50 a night b/c they did not have that many people up there, so she took it!

I know lots of you have had magic happen at check in & had an upgrade to club level at no cost, however what I am wondering is if anyone has checked in & asked about a paid upgrade to club level & if so, about how much were you quoted?

I'm curious about this too... we're checking into CR in a couple weeks, and after seeing pics / hearing stories from a friend who just came back I was thinking it might be worth it.

If club level rooms are available when you check in they will be happy to let you pay for an upgrade but will most likely quote you the rack rate for that CL room (roughly $200 a night above a standard view room for standard view CL). You can check CL availability on the Disney site for your dates to see if there are CL rooms available. And of course it never hurts to ask at check in on the off chance that they will quote you a better deal than you could get online.
