Anyone ever try the Gran Marnier Orange Slush?

These are quite easy to make and you can add more alcohol at home. Recipes are on our Recipe thread and mine tasted just like the ones at Epcot.

Just wrote down the recipes. We are gonna try both the Lemon and Orange, for sure. Thanks for the info about the recipe thread.

I guess while I'm at it I should throw in one of those margaritas and slushie teas mentioned. Sigh...I'm willing to make the sacrifice for the comparison.
All in the name of research and education, that's our story. During F&W last year, there was a frozen Bailey's that compared favorably. I like both slushies, depends.. if it's way hot I like the Grey Goose; the GM is like an Orange Julius with a kick.

I like the sound of that...research and education! To make a fair study I'll need to add in the frozen Bailey's. Where do I locate that one? :) At this rate I may be reeling by the time I get half way around the world!

I love the orange one- dh prefers the lemon. They are a bit hard to drink out of the glass and push a stroller though! :cool1:

Hi everyone! I just had the orange slush for the first time this past May and I would love to make it at home. I am having a really hard time finding an orange smoothie mix though...any suggestions for a replacement? Preferrable something you have tried and something that tastes the same? Is there a good replacement for the Polynesian Lemon Drink Mix for the Grey Goose Slushie?

It is too sweet for me. I much prefer the lemon slush.

Have noted this thread is more than 2 years old. It's still too sweet.

Every time we go I say I am going to get one, and then promptly forget about it.
This time I am heading to the orange slushy the day we hit world showcase.
Can't wait...:love::banana:

Its a very popular drink in my circle of friends - some of whom order it as a double.

Me? I find there really isn't that much Gran Marnier in it. <shrug>

I like my Gran Marnier straight up - its very strong cognac (as a PP stated) so to put it in a slush for me is "strange"

but dh likes that one -

I do prefer the Grey Goose - its light and refreshing - Didnt I read on the review thread they are up to $14 a piece?

I saw this on the travel channel last night and I do not drink, but this sure did look yummy, I was wondering if anyone has ever tried it:confused3 and if its any good?

Oh my YES!!!!! It is one of my favorite drinks while at Disney, the other being the Pina Colava . Anytime we walk past the France Pavillion, I have to get one. There was a thread on here not long ago that asked you are not in WDW unless you have....and one of those items I said was a Grand Marinier, along with the Pina Colava of course :goodvibes

Tastes Great! But one puts me on my butt. LOL. Not much of a drinker.
Nancy :rotfl2:

I was excited to try it but I didn't really like it that much. I thought it tasted like melted orange sherbet.

I tried one on our last trip and loved it. Already planning on getting one this October when we go. You must add it to your list of things to try and do at WDW.

yummm, I love them.
I have to be careful though, because apparently I'm a pretty big lightweight, and by the time we made it back into future world I was full on drunk! my friend had to help me order and carry my food at electric umbrella.
Totally did not anticipate that happening! haha, it was in the middle of the day, I was so embarassed!

I've been known to have one in each hand. :rotfl:

Have had one, didn't love it, but I'm not a big drinker and don't like strong alcohol flavor. I thought the Grand Marnier was too strong. The Grey Goose was a bit more palatable for me. But I won't get either again, just too much alcohol taste for me. On the plus side, not loving the taste of alcohol saves me quite a bit on dinner, haha. :)
