I read that the cribs at the resorts are not that great, and my ds has a hard time sleeping anyhwere other than his own bed. At 13 months he has all ready out grown the pack and play, but is not ready for a bed. What are the cribs at the resorts like size wise? And, has anyone used the rental companies? TIA!

The cribs from the resorts are pack n plays. I have read that some have porta cribs but I've never actually seen those. I used A Baby
s Best Friend (ABBF- www.abbf.com) and had very good service from them. They deliver the crib to the hotel's luggage storage area and you do need to assemble it but it is relatively easy. You save the packing materials and unassemble the crib, pack it back up and have bell services put it in the luggage storage room for ABBF to pick up. The crib from ABBF was very nice.

Another vote for abbf.com

We used them for years (our kids are older now... sniff sniff) but we found them to be prompt, clean, and overall a wonderful company to do business with.

I suggest renting some toys from them too... It was great for the kids to have some new things to play quietly with to wind down from the day.

The best advice I can offer anyone going to WDW with small children is to reserve with A Baby's Best Friend for your crib, stroller, toys, and anything else you don't want to (or can't) shlep there. I agree with everyone that they are great. We have used them several times in the past and everything from their website to the items they deliver is top shelf stuff.

We have been very pleased and thankful they are in the area. You will be happy with the crib. . . and the assembly was about 5 minutes and really is a piece of cake. Best 5 minutes you will spend on vacation to make sure your baby gets a great nights' sleep.

Have fun!!!

we used a baby's best friend as well and loved them! They have regular cribs that are easy to set up. I highly recommend them and it's worth spending the money if your child will sleep better. Our dd slept perfectly!!

we also just used ABBF and were very happy with the service and quality of the crib. We checked in late the first night and didn't have time to set up the crib, so we tried to get DD (1 year ) to sleep in the pack-n-play. NOT HAPPENING!!! The next night she slept straigt through in the crib. I'm so glad we spent the $75 and rented the crib. It was the money we spent!

We just returned from Pop and used Disney's pack and play crib. It was in VERY nice shape (mesh sides had no tears)...nice and clean....and even had a Disney crib sheet with Mickey, Pluto, etc. (which my 2 year old loved). We requested a crib at check-in and it was in our room by the time we were able to get into our room.

That is the general problem with all resort and hotels: You ask for a crib, you are assured it's a crib, and you get a pack & play. Which is fine if your little one sleeps well in one. Ours doesn't.

That's what happened to us the first time at a Disney resort, and what a bad night was had by all. We called A Baby's Best Friend early the next morning and they brought a beautiful full crib with a real mattress and clean bedding to us that day. The remainder of the week was glorious, and all slept well. ABBF is awesome! (And I agree the assembly part was a snap. . .)

we stayed at ASMo we rented a crib....got pack n play.....

Thanks everyone! I will be contacting ABBF today. I can not risk a pack n play, even for one night! :goodvibes

yes...better to be safe than sorry....

Just wanted to toss in another okay for a babys best friend.
We used them twice and they were great!
