Anyone ever print DL tickets at home from the website?

My mom is going to buy a "5 for 3" park hopper pass and am wondering at the ease of use with these tickets... It says on the DL website that yout ake them to the gates, but has anyone ever done this? How does she get her park pass then? I am not familiar with this as we have AP's, so it seemed a little odd that you wouldn't have to go to the ticket booth and exchange it for an "actual ticket". Let me know, thanks!

We have bought single days, park hoppers, and AP's online and have taken every single one straight to the gates. They'll give you a real ticket upon entering the park.

oh...and hand stamping is important for park hoppers!

The CM at the turnstiles takes the paper receipt, scans the barcode, and then prints out an actual parkhopper. Easy Peasy!

I used e-Tickets in Oct. '07, and using the e-Ticket was easy.

Disney e-mails you a PDF file. You print out the PDF file, which will be 8.5 x 11 inches. (The print-out will have the same bar code printed twice.)

When you go to DL, you go straight to the turnstiles and hand the CM your print-out. The CM scans one of the bar codes, and the actual ticket (the one that you use at the FastPass machines) gets printed. It barely took a minute.

I was so thankful to HoJo Staff on our last trip. We have APs but I need a PH for someone coming with us.

I have major issues on my PC with adobe, can't get reader to load at all, so I was worried that I wouldn't get the kids play at adult price tickets.

Called the hotel regarding printing options. Sure enough, I was able to log on in the office and print my tickets right there at the hotel. Worked like a charm.

It's also really helpful by comin in PDF format, because if you happen to misplace where you've put your printed tickets You can just reprint them!

Yes, they are the regular cardstock tickets that they give you at the turnstiles when you give them your printed out paper. We did this for our boys in Jan. Very easy!

Yes, you can.

Doesn't seem as easy to me...tickets might be lost in the mail or on the way (we almost lost, er, I almost lost, our entire travel package including our tickets as we set out for our first big DLR trip).

When you do the e-ticket, even if you lose the print-out, just get to a computer with a printer, log into your email (it's worth suggesting that you use a gmail, hotmail, yahoo type account rather than Outlook etc, if you are not bringing a laptop that hooks up to your Outlook etc), and find the email they sent, get the PDF, and print another.

Yep, the cards are somewhere in the depths of the machine. They scan the print-out (hopper or first AP!) and out pops a proper ticket (or ticket-sized AP voucher that you then take to the AP processing center) instantly!

(and if you have had an AP before and instead of renewing you just buy an e-ticket...say if it's too late for renewal price...you can take that AP e-ticket print-out to Guest Relations/Services (we went to the one to the left of DL gates, not the one to the left of DCA gates with Lost/Found) and they will look you up, and if you don't need a new picture, they will create an AP right then and there for you!)

The tickets that were printed out at the turnstiles look exactly like the tickets that Disney sent us in the mail.

e-Ticket: This 5-day ticket (front and back) was printed out at the DL turnstiles in Oct. '07.

Mailed Ticket: This 3-day ticket (front and back) was sent in the mail by Disney in Aug. '07.

Those you have to take to the ticket booths. Vouchers are not the same as e-tickets, and need to be exchanged at the actual ticket booth.

Callie you made me realize I was being too relaxed in the words I used! Thank you! I've now changed "voucher" to "print-out".


Although, unless GAT has changed, all you have to show them is your ID and, I think, the credit card you used. You don't have to show them ANY paper at all. But you DO have to go to the ticket booths to get your GAT tickets.

We will be staying at the DLH and I am just about to order our tickets online. If I print the vouchers and get the tickets at the turnstiles, will I have a separate room key? When we were at WDW our key was our ticket.

FYI - I didn't do the package as we're using reward points for the hotel.

Unfortunately at this time, the Disneyland Resort, unlike our counterparts at the Walt Disney World Resort, cannot encode Theme Park Admission Tickets onto the Key to the Magic Card, which serves as the Room Key at the Hotels of the Disneyland Resort and as a Room Charge card inside our Theme Parks.
