Anyone ever Left a Legacy?

My DH and I have always wanted to Leave a Legacy at Epcot but admitingly, I really have no idea what that is. We are taking our kids for the first time next month and we thought it would now be a good time to do it. I've seen the pics all around SpaceShip Earth but it really doesn't say what it's about. Where do you do it? How much? Anyone know?? Thanks!

Yep...sorry to say I recall correctly.
Here it is on the Disney site
Be inspired by this sweeping sculpture celebrating the promise of tomorrow. This grand artistic statement is made of custom tiles that express Guests' hopes and dreams for the future. It commemorates the dawn of a bright new millennium, a living testament of one generation's legacy to the next.

**Please note that Leave a Legacy tiles are no longer being sold. The Leave a Legacy Locator Station can be found at the Camera Center under Spaceship Earth.

Well poop. That answers that question. Should have done it years ago. Oh well.:guilty:

We left a legacy in 2003 in memory of my grandfather. We visit and take a pic with it every year.

I would have loved to have done that, as well as make a brick at MK. I'm guessing they didn't do anything at AK or DHS. Maybe they will do something at one of those parks in the future.

We did it in 2003 luckily as it has been discontinued. Every year we go back and look at our little metal plaque.

We were able to do this in 2002...it was free and part of our package. We've gone to look for it, and took the kids' pictures with it. It's a neat memory!

I did with with DMom when it was offered free with a package. I'm so happy I did it now, since DMom and I used to go to WDW together every year, and now that she's passed away, it's a way I have a very lasting memory of us there together (and can share with DS when he's old enough to understand that's his grandma).

I have to say we did it when it was free and I'm glad we did. It's just a picture of the girls in 2004 or so and we take a picture near it every time we go to Disney, so we can see the girls grow through the years. It's pretty cool. I would never pay for it and I think they've stopped selling them. Check allears.net.

Darn, I didn't know they stopped selling it. I was going to get dd2's done this coming trip! :( DH and I had ours done in 2003 on our honeymoon. It was part of the package we were on.

We did a trip with my sister and mom and dad in 2005 and we did it. I was hoping to do it with my husband and DD next month. I am a little bummed now!

I'm sorry to say they are gone and we are very upset about it. We got one done when we went on our honeymoon and we always wanted to get one with our child(ren) when we brought them down there. I was so disappointed esp b.c this will be DD's first trip and I wanted to get one of her to remember it by

We did this on a trip in 2002. One tile of my parents and next to it, my boys (then 9 and 12).
I'm glad we did this! My boys wanted to so when they take their kids to Disney, they can show them the tiles:)
