Anyone ever have problems with Hotwire?

I've used Priceline a few times and have never had any problems with it, always thought the hotels were just as represented etc. Haven't used Hotwire before so just wondering what everyone's experiences have been like.

I generally believe Hotwire overates SOME hotels. For instance, I know of several 2* and 2.5*'s on Priceline, that Hotwire rates 3*. It's not a major problem, you just have to take into consideration that if the lowest you bid on Priceline is for 2*'s, you may want to up it to 3*'s using Hotwire.

They tend to be a little higher in price than Priceline, but they're also less "opaque". In certain circumstances, it's important to me to know the amenities and i'm willing to pay a little extra for that (thru Hotwire).

Thanks for the tips. I appreciate it. Good to know that I might want to go a little higher with the stars and getting an idea of what the hotel is/has is important to me too.
