Just becuase I needed something else to worry about, I started thinking about what happens if I get to WDW in Sept and find all my ADR's are gone. Has anyone had this happen to them and what did you do?

Thanks!

Ty

:scared1: Oh my, are you trying to give us all nightmares???
I think I've read about ADRs accidentally being cancelled awhile back on this board. It seemed to be most likely to happen to people who were calling to doublecheck or change things around.

I actually had one of those nightmares and dreamt I had no ADR's when we got there...that's what made think of this question and the big "what if" :goodvibes

I NOW always call back to check all my ADR the day after I make them for the first time...

We never had one or all cancelled but we did have a date mistake once...It cost us seats at the Hoop Dee Doo for my Dad's 60th birthday...The CM put the wrong date in for our tickets...He actually put in a date that we were not even in Disney World...We were refunded our money because there were no tables left once we found out (we found out when we went to get our tickets at the resort desk)....

We will never let that happen again...So we always call to confirm each and every reservation including the date, time, location, and ADR #...

Give yourslef some peace of mind and call to confirm...If they are there today, they will be there when you arrive.

Oh... my... you guys are lucky... I heard that the reservation system tends to dump/lose or whatever you want to call it reservations randomly all the time... and that when it does it will dump all the reservations that are linked to the same phone number.... While we were there the May the family in front of us at the Garden Grill found out that they no longer existed in the system and apparently lost CRT too....

Ooops I forgot it isn't April first is it.......

Actually I've never heard of anyone's reservations being erased... but I would verify the time and date before I hang up... just to make sure no ones made a mistake.

A few years ago we had are ressies for ohanas cancelled. it was a mistake another family with a simular name cancelled their ressie but instead:confused3 they did away with ours. All turned out fine they still let us stay and eat under the other familys name we just had to wait 15 min for them to be a no show.

We've never had an ADR or PS (years ago) cancelled, but the thought has crossed my mind recently. There's been several posts of people arriving at a restaurant only to have their ADR cancelled by WDW. In many cases, they were told "Sorry, but there's nothing we can do." :sad2: Naturally, they don't make mistakes, so it had to be the guest. :rolleyes1 I'm afraid to call to change anything, due to those posts. This time, I think we're staying with what we originally booked no matter what. I'm even afraid to cancel an ADR. What if they cancel the wrong one? Others have reported it happening to them. My DH & I are both laidback & wouldn't argue over an ADR, but I would be very disappointed if we ended up with no ADR & had to look elsewhere for a place to eat.

So agree with this - would be very disappointed! I did already call back to change a couple of things and the rest of my ADR's were there...don't think I'll mess with them anymore though.

My ADR was cancelled last year (LeCellier!!) but I insisted, begged, pleaded, cried, and they seated us. It seems that someone with my name had made ressie for LC the next day and somehow they cancelled mine. Mine was on Tuesday, and they cancelled it because they made another ressie for her at the same time as mine at a different place. I did not take my conf.#s with me to Epcot that day, but that was a lesson learned, I always carry the #s with me. That other person had a different phone number than mine, so I know what happened to my ressie. The funny thing was that before they seated us they asked me what to do with the Wednesday ressie for the person with the same name as mine. I guess they still thought I was lying. :confused3

The only time I have heard of where Disney intentionally would cancel ADRs was if someone was trying to double-book. In other words, booking two different TS meals for the same time period so that they can "choose" which one to go to. Most dining CMs will not even allow you to do this now, but it used to be more prevalent. In these cases, I had heard of Disney cancelling both ADRs.
