We're making our first ADR of the trip at WCC. Anyone ever had a bad experience there? How was the food?

Thanks! :goodvibes

We love it and have eaten breakfast (the skillet is AMAZING) and dinner there on separate trips and had excellent service and food. It's a great place to dine!

We're not exactly an interactive-dining-type family and have always steered clear of PMC, WCC, etc. However, the reviews of WCC have always been so great here that I went ahead and booked a dinner ADR for May. It's been posted that if you'd rather observe than participate much, you can let your server know and it's okay. I hope this holds true! I just hope DH and DS10 (shy) esp. don't eat their whole meal with knots in their stomachs, worrying that they're going to be forced to perform in some way!

Oh that's okay , I just thought that there was something new to try. Not that I've mastered all of the classic character meals yet!

We have always had good food, service and interaction at Whispering Canyon! It's on our list of must do's every trip!!!

Excellent. It sounds like this is a repeat place for many!

We tried for the first time last summer, and really didn't care for it. The service was pretty bad- DH and I ordered drinlks that never came, and we saw our waitress once when she took our order, and then a second time after we had to ask another server to find her so we could get our check. I know you're not supposed to expect any of the antics to happen, but all the surrounding tables had a lot of interaction with their servers, and we got zip. The food was only so-so. we won't be eating here again.

On our last trip this past Christmas, we actually ate their twice since I had heard soo many great reviews about it and BOTH times we were very dissapointed. Both times there were a couple of good servers (it seemed) and we had bad service both times and the food was not as good as expected. The kids did have fun with the pony rides, ect.. but we won't go back again.

We go at least once every trip...it is a must do for our family.

i think it really depends on the waiter/waitress..after staying at the Lodge for acouple of days we heard alot of laughter and antics always going on there so we gave it a try. our waitress had a very stiff/wooden personality..zero fun. plus she would be gone for loooong streches of time. all the fun was happening at other tables as we sat there wondering what happen to our waitress for the last 25 minutes... :sad2:

We were put at the worst table in the restaurant (two rooms down from where all the "action" takes place -- practically in the Territory Lounge!) and still had a great time.

Okay, reviews seem to be more mixed, now I'm worried......

Don't be worried. If you don't see mixed reviews for a restaurant, suspect that someone is explicitly deleting the bad (or good) reviews. There are mixed reviews for every restaurant. Overall, though, you'll find generally positive reviews for Whispering Canyon and that's what should matter.

We stayed at WL this past Nov. and ate at WC twice. The breakfast was a little much for 8 am. Very loud, lots of hootin-n-hollerin'. Just remember, don't ask for ketchup!

I have a mixed review to give!

The food was good! Our waiter "Tiny" was extremely funny and very helpful! I asked for one straw, he showered me with them...Literally! It was very funny.

We were next to the kitchen, so a little busy and the room was extremely loud! And even though we were next to the kitchen, it seemed our food took a long time getting to us. But I know that wasn't Tiny's fault.

I did enjoy watching the kids have loads of fun!

Okay, I'm sticking with it. And I may need an extra straw, or two! ;)

this year will be our second time- love the food and the antics- it is all about your server and your want to have fun- mydh made a cute little teapot- all on video for future blackmail
