I would LOVE to be able to try out the BC, but does the AP rate EVER get any better than $199? We could never afford it at that rate. :sad: :sad: :sad: :sad: :sad:

Not recently. Its a very popular resort and their rack rates are high.

About 2-3 years ago we got the BC for $169 a night!! We booked 2 rooms in August, it was great!:Pinkbounc

I was thinking the same thing, (and it was Aug 2003) but I wussed out and upgraded to CL!

But, those rates DO exist!!!::yes::

You should try renting points from a DVC member. I have begun finding out about this for my honeymoon next summer. We are looking to stay at the Boardwalk (same pricing as BC). We found out we'd save about half by renting points through a DVC member then going with the offered rate. You should look into it I got all my info off the DVC forum boards. They sell you their points for around 10 a point. For our one week in june we'd need 126 to give you some kind of idea. I hope this helps you out. Good Luck!princess:

I want to think I got it for $150-160 a couple years ago during a very off season.

I got it for $179, but that was Jan. of 2003. This was a code rate, not AP. We had booked at $289 and were able to drop it. I was thrilled out of my shoes!

Even if you have to pay a bit more, I believe it is worth it. We have stayed at the BC 3 times, and loved every minute.

we've gotten it for $179 - standard room BUT for at least the past two years $199 seems to be the lowest you can get. That's pretty good actually.

I would echo what "precious pixie" said ... Look into renting points from a DVC owner - I think you will find it is much cheaper than going through Disney and there is no tax on a rental either.

Check the DVC Rental Board here on DIS for more information. If you want general information on the DVC, feel free to PM me and I can explain how it all works and so forth. I am a DVC member but I don't rent my points - I like using them too much!!!

We got BC a few years back for around $179.

I agree with PAMNC..that $199 seems to be a good rate recently. I can't remember any lower for the past couple of years.

We got the YC for $179 in Sept 2003, but it was a special military rate. I agree with previous posters who suggest trying to rent DVC points for BCV.

It seems that renting DVC points is the way to go. Since we live in FL and don't have any kids in school we can choose to go during a off time, so we will really be able to save! I can't wait, maybe next year! Yay!

Well, not the BC, but the YC several years ago, we got the $169/$179 rate in July. We booked a standard and were upgraded to waterview! I don't think we'll be seeing rates that low any time soon.:(
