Anyone ever get a TEXT about a job/internship?

Hi guys! I've been a longtime lurker but I have a question so I figured I'd finally post.

I applied for a Professional Internship for the summer with Radio Disney a week ago. On Saturday, I got a text from a number with a Burbank area code saying it was so-and-so from the Walt Disney Company and that I should respond with my name and dates and times I am available for an interview.

I thought this was a little odd since I've never gotten texted before about an interview, only called or emailed. I texted back but haven't gotten a response back yet.

I'm pretty nervous because I'd love to interview and I don't want to miss the opportunity just because I got notified via text and there may be some odd communication error.

I called the Radio Disney office that I applied to and left a message to tell them my predicament, but once again, no one has responded.

Anyway, I just wanted to know if Disney has ever texted you regarding a job/internship and what do you suggest I do?

It sounds a little shady, I've never heard of that. Each time I've interviewed for a role, the communication has been by phone call or text.

However, you never know. You really aren't giving up much personal information just by giving your name if its a spammer, they already have your phone number.

Wait, you said you got a text before. That's what happened to me. What did they say in the text when you were contacted? And did they respond immediately after you responded?
