Anyone ever fly in/out of two different airports for the same trip?

We live about 20 minutes from the Harrisburg, PA (MDT) airport. Airtran flies out of Harrisburg. Flights aren't currently released yet for our dates of travel, June 14-22, but I'm anticipating they'll be released soon. I've been watching flight times/prices for April/May and I like the outgoing flight time, but hate the return flight time. Now I realize that times may change for June, but if they don't, I'm thinking of flying into BWI on Southwest. My parents are taking/picking us up at the airport so we wouldn't have to worry about our car being one place and us in another. Has anyone ever done this; flown from one airport on one airline carrier and into another airport with another airline carrier? I just want to make sure that it won't make things too confusing for DME with luggage tags and all. Also, previously when we've flown from BWI we've driven ourselves and we like the ease of getting to that airport, but we never actually parked on airport property; we've always used Econo Park Express. Is the BWI airport parking easy enough for my parents to navigate (good signs posted to follow) so that they can find short-term parking and come to the baggage claim to meet us? They've never been to BWI. TIA!

If you have transportation, it's not problem to have an outgoing flight from one airport and a return flight from another. Seems like a pain to me though; I'd rather deal with a return flight time which wasn't perfect and skip the drive from BWI to Harrisburg (or vice versa).

BWI Airport is pretty easy to navigate.

You will be fine. As far as DME you will be fine. It will not be confusing to DME. Dont stress. ;)

In August we flew out of Reagan National and in to Dulles with no problems. We used DME on arrival and RAC check out on departure with no problems.
