Has anyone ever done a detox?
A juice fast?
A colon cleanse pill or tea kit?
An "Herbal Cleanse" that comes in different flavors (peppermint and cinnamon I think)
"The Lemonade Diet"
etc.
A counselor at the health food store in my town recommended doing a cleanse to me. I've lost 31 lbs so far but the last three weeks, I've been playing around with one pound here- seems like a plateau.
(I eat mostly salads, whole grains, fruits, veggies, fish, chicken, some red meat, a little treat here and there within my calorie counts (light ice cream, 100 cal pack cheetos, or popcorn). I drink about 6 glasses of water a day- I'm trying to drink more.)
Anyway, he suggested that I do a cleanse- he suggested a couple "kits" and products, but told me the really important part is - no sugar, fat, starch, alcohol, nuts, processed foods or caffeine when you take the herbal products. So basically- fruits and veggies. Some people will eat fish or chicken if they know they have a tolerance for them, he says.
There are lots of products available online, but of course they all work according to their websites! lol
So, I was wondering if anyone's ever done any cleanse or fast and if you'd recommend it or not. Thanks!
