Im staying at the new Art of Animation and wanted to decorate my hotel room window with lights. Has anyone ever done this? If so how do you keep the lights up?
I haven't done this myself, but I've heard of people using suction cups or those small, clear 3M hooks. (there are ones made for the christmas light wires that I use for home decorations).
The lights sound cute but is it allowed?? I could see some firecode speaking against this. Especially since no one knows quality condition of lights people may bring ????
I've always decorated our window. Started out with a happy birthday banner, and has become more from there. Christmas lights, stockings, window clings, streamers, etc. My sons are now 21&17, and as soon as we get in the room they ask me where the decorations are at.
We are staying at POP on OCT 12th-15th and I have already bought all of my halloween realted decor and also bought a door knocker for the out side of are door I am going to attach them with suction cups and all decorations and suction cups were found at my local dollar tree... So excited.
We do this as well, with some color changing light decorations (Mickey Ghost) we got at Walgreens and some window clings. We also have a set of rope lights, but we only use them when we're actually in the room. My husband doesn't like the idea of leaving them on when we're gone to a park or the food court.

I'll be decorating my window in Feb and I'm buying a timer for the lights so they won't be on all the time but will cut on at night, they won't be on too long without us there. Maybe your DH would be okay with that. I've looked at lots of decorating threads ands lots if people do it, I can't wait.
