Anyone ever cruise on Magic in cabin 6118?

My DH, DD (age 8) and DS (age 5) will be on the Magic 2/5/05 trip in room 6118. I see on the maps that it is across from the elevators. Does anyone know if this is good or bad?

i stayed right next door in 6116, i personally think it is one of the best locations on ship, it was very convienent to everything, and its right over the gang plank for people to get off the ship so you can look down and watch everyone leaving ship,

We stayed in this cabin in October and loved it. We usually stay in the middle by the elevators, but they were not available. We never had any problems with noise, and it was right below Topsiders.

We had that cabin in August 2003. It is a great location. Easy trip up to deck 9 for food or down to deck 5 for clubs and movies. I would stay there again.

Stayed there on the 11/27 cruise this year and rebooked the same room for next December. We found it to be a great location and close to the stairs so that we could walk up and down.

We stayed in that cabin too Great location - no problems with noise -- though I was initially worried about it - since it was by the elevators. Would stay there again!

We are booked for 6116 for 12/9/06 and it's great to hear good reviews! We stayed in 7104 which is almost directly above that, and loved the proximity to aft stairs/elevator. It almost makes me not want to be upgraded... almost, hehehe.

This is all great news! Thanks to everyone for your replies - I was a bit worried about noise but now I feel much better.

We stayed in 6616 last April which is on the other side of the elevators. We loved. No noise problem at all and it was very convenient to the stairs. Hardly ever used the elevators. It was also nice to avoid the long hallways

We stayed in 6116 on the Wonder and it was a great location- no elev. noise at all. It was easy for our kids to locate and we didn't have to traverse any long hallways.

We tried to rebook it for our Jan 7 night but it was already taken so we got a gty 6. Imagine our surprise when DCL was able to juggle some things and get us back into 'our' cabin.

We also had 6116 on our 1st DCL cruise. It was a nice location, very quiet. The only complaint we had was that there was quite a bit walk from midship to aft (when you were carring a 60lbs sleeping child from the kids club back to the cabin).
