Anyone ever buy points and not STAY 'at home' resort?

Yes - thank you for your input! I do NOT think we'd ever go to HH, so thanks for the advice and even though i quickly consider HH, i'll scratch off the list. Yes, a timeshare is NOT like owning property. I do realize that this is NOT an investment. I think of this as more of something I am paying for to enjoy vacation time with my family or for hubby and I to enjoy in future years to come. Which brings to another question for a new post.....

I purchased a SSR DVC membership last year. I finally stayed there last week and LOVED it! Each resort has its own charm. But again, buy where you want to stay the most so you have the 11 month advantage.

Well folks- we decided This was a good small contract to begin with.

Yay!!! Congrats and wishes for a speedy and successful ROFR!

Glad you're getting something nice! And I really like SSR, though our first time there started off a bit rocky (they fixed it though).

I know this will be a surprise, but we have 200 BCV points, and I have not stayed there in 6-7 years! And you are welcome, other DVC members, who want to stay at my home resort. :lmao: :goodvibes

Last few trips have been BLT ...

And YOU are welcome right back. :) We own at Bay Lake and haven't yet stayed there, LOL. (we went the "buy expensive and fall in love with cheaper places" route. Not a recommended route, but a route all the same. :rotfl2:)
