Anyone ever been for just 1 week?

We have spent a week there once but would do it again if it was the only option. Would not recommend going for a week if it was your first or only chance to visit.

I've done it twice on my solo trips ( Can't leave DH alone for too long ;)) and it works for me!!

I looked at it as a nice extra holiday in between the long ones, yes it's a long flight, but it's great when you're there!! As you say you've been before and will do it again so you won't be running yourselves ragged to do everything and see everything. In fact you might see and do things you would have never thought of.

I always planned an early start, and it never happened! But despite having quite short days from 10 am till 9 pm max, I never felt like I had missed anything.

Quite honestly, I would do the same thing myself in a heartbeat!

If a week was all I could do then that's what it would be, I think I would just do WDW though rather than try to fit in any other parks.

DH and I have done 4 night trips (without the kiddies - they were told we were working, they do get a 3 week trip there every year) and have loved it! Last year we went for 5 nights, flew in, spent next morning in the parks, went on 4 night cruise and flew straight home - fantastic!!

We did 6 nights flying out on boxing day a couple of years ago and had a fab trip. The crowds were a massive shock to the system because we normally go at quieter times of the year. We followed Tour Guide Mikes advice and where I have used him before on this particular trip his advice was invaluble although it did involve early starts. We didn't wait more than about 10 minutes to do anything by being ahead of the crowds and would be out of the parks before lunch to have a nice relaxing day. We also used fastpass as much as we could. I normally only go for a week anyway because I like to do other things and go other places with the rest of my holidays.

We did Disney (all four parks), Sea World and Discovery Cove in 7 days; we got everything done. This was in the summer (August). No problems :thumbsup2

This year, me and my family are going to Orlando for 10 nights in April. I've been recruited (noone asked me, but I bought it on myself :P) to plan out on what days where we go. I've easily made fit all the Disney parks, one Disney water park, Wet n Wild, Universal Orlando, Busch Gardens, Seaworld and Aquatica. So for us that is everything.
It does appear doable and the way I look at it, is any time in Florida is better than no time in Florida :)

I am going for 5 nights in October - that worked out the cheapest dates over half term to get the UC seats in the sale - and they were a real bargain. I'm going without DH but meeting up with DS and his GF who both teach in the Bahamas.

I shan't be rushing around and will probably only go to Epcot. I know it will be tiring but am hoping the UC flight home will cut down the jet-lag.
