Anyone else watching What About Brian?

I watched it when it was on in the spring and thought it was cancelled. I was so happy when it started up again, I love the show.

me too I hope they keep it on. I have so many drama type shows I watch and I am addicted to all of them.Greys Anatomy, ER Desperate Housewives,I know I am forgetting some

I too love this show!

I think in the spring it had a bigger draw then they thought they would, so it was extended for more than the original number of episodes "ordered". So I think this year if it stays as good as it has been then it will take off too! I love it and just can't miss it!!

I also love Greys Anatomy and Desperate Housewives. I think having it on last spring behind DH really helped it take off!

I wonder what's going to happen with Nicole and Angelo. In the preview, they show her at her baby shower and Brian comes in and Nicole asks him "Where's Angelo?" and Brian has this somber look. Hmmm.....

I noticed that Angelo is no longer in the opening credits and I'm thinking something tragic will happen to him, leaving her to cope with being a new mom and him not being around.

Jimmy seems to be the new friend replacement.

I am also thinking Angelo is a goner. I really liked him so I am not thrilled with the decision. I guess JJ Abrams thinks it will help the show get ratings.

That stinks for her character, seeing that she's already nervous about being a mother as it is.

I really like this show! I was a WB addict so it's nice to see some of these former WB actors showing up on new shows.

It makes sense, though. It sets things up to show Brian as the loving, caring father figure as Uncle Brian. :goodvibes

I am so thrilled that there are other people out there that love this show too. I never hear anyone talk about it. I was so afraid it might not come back. Glad it did.

Did you all notice that (if Angelo is killed) NONE of the couple are together anymore? I guess it sets up for more story lines. I hope Marjorie isn't leaving the show. I love her.

Hope ABC keeps this one around for awhile!! :thumbsup2

Wow. You're right. Especially since in the first episode it was just all of them getting together - all couples (except Brian :goodvibes )

I am wondering how they are going to handle the Marjorie issue. I hope she is not leaving the show either.

Maybe they same way they'll handle the "Izzie" issue on Grey's Anatomy (if you watch that :goodvibes )

I don't watch GA - what'd they do? I love Marjorie and want to see her stay.

Off -topic but Jedi - I'm going to a Halloween party as Princess Leia on Saturday and DH is going as a Jedi.

Cool about your costumes! :cool1:

Well, with that character, at the end of last season, she quit the internship program (to be a surgeon). At lot of people were wondering what they would do with her character, since she wasn't leaving the show. She's still in the show here and there. Just not in the hospital doing surgeries. Maybe with Marjorie, they will just have occasional scenes with her in Minneapolis.

I'm hoping she'll return though and resolve the whole thing with Brian!

WOW! A lot of sad things happening in this week's episode. That's really sad about Angelo :guilty: And Dave and Deena and the company...man..

I wonder if Dave and Deena will stay broken up.

Can someone do a recap of last nights show for me? It looked like a good one and I missed it. Went to bed early and thought I recorded it but got a football game instead!

Let's see if I can hit the highlights (this won't be in any sort of order, though)...

Dave moves in with Brian but doesn't tell Brian that he got kicked out because he slept with the software company chick (I forget her name). Dave talks with the other woman and essentially breaks up with her. Next thing you know, they're in a meeting where Brian and Dave find out that the software company is suddenly sitting on their video game and not marketing it for another year. Basically, she screwed them over because she was bitter. Dave never tells Brian that he slept with her.

They later find out through Adam (their lawyer) that there's a clause where they can buy back their game, for $75,000. Brian says he'll take care of getting the money and he goes to his estranged Dad and asks him to invest in their company. Dad says no and offers him a job instead, which Brian turns down. Brian goes to the bank and cashes out everything he has, including maxxing out his credit cards, taking out his IRA, etc. Later, Dave confronts the other woman while he's taking all his game-related stuff from the software company's offices. He tells her that he was never going to leave his wife, that it was always only about sex. At Brian's place, they notice that someone has hacked into Dave's account and downloads the game off his computer and uploads it to a free software website, essentially making the game useless to sell. Finally, Dave tells Brian that he slept with the other woman.

In the meantime, Brian and Adam have a bet as to who can sleep with a woman first. Brian ends up hooking back up with "car girl", the psycho girlfriend from Season 1. Adam, in the meantime, tries hooking up with Summer, the stripper from the night before his wedding, but she gets ticked when he basically admits that he was only looking for sex.

Dave and Deena have some more fights about their marriage, plus there's some heart-wrenching scenes with the girls asking when Daddy's coming home. Nicole finally tells Deena that she's to blame for the whole thing, since it was her idea to have the open marriage. Towards the end of the episode, Dave and Deena have a talk about the open marriage thing and it kind of looks like they might get back together.

The episode ends with Brian on the way to the airport with car girl to go pick up Angelo for the baby shower when Brian gets a call from the police, telling him that Angelo was in some kind of car accident and is dead. The last scene is Brian showing up at the baby shower with the news. He doesn't say anything, but the stunned look on his face tells Nicole enough. :(

I just want to add that Dave tells Deena that it is over. He tells her about the company being tanked, Brian losing all his money, and that it does not matter who's fault it is. (She had just gotten done telling him that she now realizes all of this is her fault.)
