Anyone else watch "Chopped"?

I am so addicted to this show and have the Tivo set to record it all the time. I loved Master Chef with Gordon Ramsay, but I like Chopped better because you know who wins every episode.

I really like this show too! The chefs get to be really creative, which is interesting to this meat and potatoes home cook!

Love this show soo much! I love Aaron and the bald guy... but I love Aaron on Chef Vs City with Chris Cosontino too! Though we saw them when filming the San Francisco Chef vs City it was sfun!

Anywhoo these people have some fierce creative juices one time my friends and I had a party where I recorded it and had the secret ingredients already and we did the same challenges it was soo much fun and soo challenging but we had ALOT of fun.

I thought it was gross when they had to use pickles in a dessert i can't stand the smell or taste of pickles lol

i also love this show. I watched one episode where the secret ingredient was Rocky Mountain Oysters which are bull's testicles. One of the chefs didn't know what they were - assumed they were real oysters and proceeded to prep his dish for oysters. It wasn't until he overheard the judges talking that he realized his mistake. He had not unwrapped the package to look at them! Very funny.

I remember that one-I got a kick out of it too. Their creativity in being able to combine "uncombinable" things is amazing!

Oh, the ingredients they had to use on the Halloween one were ridiculous!! Wax lips??

The Halloween show was disgusting! I wanted to throw up. With that said, DS 16 and I watch it all the time!! Love the show.

Usually real Italian cooks/chefs NEVER put cheese with or on top of fish, so Scott Conant is not being unreasonable with that. I believe he does own an Italian restaurant, so I'm sure that is where it is coming from. I grew up not having the two together, and never have paired it when cooking myself - it only occured to me last Christmas Eve when one of my guests asked for Parm cheese for their Lobster Fra Diavlo, and how weird it is to put the cheese on top.. Of course, I gave her the cheese ;)

I guess I just think at a certain level that chefs or restaurant owners should not adhere to such stringent rules. There is often cheese on Oysters Rockefeller, and I can think of a few fish dishes where parmesan plays a role including an incredible parmesan encrusted tilapia I had at a way over-priced restaurant recently. There are new chefs coming out all the time that can add new ideas to the mix. Heck, it used to be that people were frowned upon for drinking certain color wines with certain foods, and that has expanded greatly as well.

That black chicken freaked me out. The lamb's heart was odd, but nothing compared to that chicken! I love Chopped and I acutally appreciate all of the judges, quirks and all. But, I agree that Ted is not a great host. He just seems uncomfortable. I say move Aaron Sanchez from judge to host!

I agree with everything except Ted. We love Ted.

Chopped is definitely on our lineup of shows that we DVR. It's so much fun to see what they come up with.

I loved Ted on Queer Eye, he was by far my favorite. I am just not sure he has the food experience, or the personality, to add to the show. I just think a host needs a bit more energy. But, that may just be me.

I also had no idea. My kids were so grossed out
