Anyone else waiting for jetBlue to release April 2008?

It sounds like there are alot of vacation flying vets here... What is a reasonable price for school vacation week out of Boston? I paid $285 two years ago for this week. I am not sure what is a good rate.:confused3

I think it really depends what day of the week you need to fly and if you're willing to take a stop over. Direct flights on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays are the most expensive. If you could do a Monday to Monday the rates are much more reasonable. I looked into going last April school vacation but the rates were so high that we decided against it. Make sure to check out Southwest if Jetblue is too expensive, SW will be releasing their April dates in the beginning of November.

GoofeyDrool - It is possible if you can fly out of Manchester, Hartford or Providence......but you have to be waiting on the computer to book the minute SW releases their fares. The lowest fares disappear sometimes in minutes of being released.

We fly Feb. break every year from Massachusetts. I will only fly nonstop with 3 kids so the search is harder. But I did get SW this year for $228 a person rt nonstop. Last year we flew JetBlue one way and Airtran home from FLL instead of MCO for about $180 pp rt nonstop.

If you are willing to do things like fly into one aiport and out of another or fly out a day early or later, you can get a decent rate. But this year was particularly hard.

All the best to you!

We went Mon-Mon of school vacation week last year and we paid $327 pp on JB. These were direct flights - we have 3 kids and there's no way I'd do a layover if I didn't have to.

This past April we went on a Sunday 4/22 to Saturday 4/28 and we flew Jet Blue and for the 5 of us I paid a little over 1100.00 total. Going down there it was $99 and coming back I believe it was $119.00. I don't think I will get that again but I am really hoping.

Continental from Newark to Orlando for 4/19-4/26 is now up to $525!!! it went up $50 last night. Maybe its their last chance at gouging before Jet Blue starts booking.

Children, children.....what's with the nastiness here?? Please, if you don't care for someone's response, just ignore it. You will find that usually works. I know this isn't the board for warm fuzzies and pixiedust, but please, can we at least be nice to each other? A little less 'attitude' would be nice.

Anywho.....I got so tired of looking at ridiculous fares for the spring with other carriers, that I changed my trip timing!!! So, now it's Jan, on JetBlue. Good luck to all of you who are patiently, yeah right, waiting for March/April to open up. Nothing we can do to hurry it along..just have to sit and wait, our fingers at the ready, poised over the keyboard....wow, I think I'm just a tad over the top!

And in the nicest, sweetest voice I asked if they had been given any idea as to how soon March would be released. I was told that they were compiling information right now and that she expects it 'any day'.

We'll see... just wanted to pass it on.

One rumor I heard a few months ago was Jet Blue pulling out of JFK and taking over Stewart to make that theie east coast hub.

Jet Blue is actually expanding their location at Kennedy airport. When we flew them in Feb. they were using temporary trailers and transporting us by buses because of all the construction so I don't know how true that rumor is.

I wish I could be more flexible on my dates but the cruise is from Saturday to Saturday. To add extra days at a hotel just to save on airfares would just defeat the purpose. I really have no choice.:sad1:

I thought JB is taking over the old TWA terminal at JFK. Was that plan scrapped?
