Anyone else waiting for jetBlue to release April 2008?

I'm just afraid I'm waiting all this time for them and then their fares are going to be $600 or more. My husband will have a fit:eek:

Me too. I am travelling with other people who only want to go into Sarasota. I can get us RT, non stop from LGA to Tampa for $263 and they don't want to do it. My husband said I should book the tickets for my son and I and let them fend for themselves. I was willing to do EWR to Sarasota with one stop in Atlanta on Air Tran for $79..but they don't want to stop anywhere with the kids.

Where is you vacation planned that they want to fly into Sarasota?

Maybe you should tell your friends that you feel that you need to book now and tell them to choose one of the options or they will be on their own. It sounds like they are being very specific about what they want and well they (and you) may end up paying a lot for it. I know it sounds mean but you gotta do what you gotta do. Good luck.

We went to WDW one year with 4 other families (family and friends). Everyone did their own airfare. We dove to Boston and flew US Air, BIL and his family and friends also drove to Boston and flew AA on the same day (but they experienced a major delay at their connecting stop). SIL, her family and friends flew Delta out of PWM the following day. Everyone rented their own cars and it worked out well.

I should have said that the other people I am travelling with is my SIL and her kids and my MIL (a total of 6 of us). We are all sharing a minivan, so we need to kinda stick together.

My MIL loves to fly into Sarasota because it is small and easy to navigate. I could care less and want to get a good deal. I do not mind making the 40 minute drive from Tampa to our condo in Longboat Key.

Like you said, I am afraid that if we pass up the $263, we will be out of luck. Last year the same time, she and my SIL paid $250 but flew out on a Monday..I keep reminding her of that.

It is so frustrating!

This year alot of schools in New York have spring break the week of April 19. That is why we are going on a DCL cruise. Easter is in March so I don't know how many other schools have off too but I think that is going to raise the prices significantly

Yes I see your dilemma. I hope you can work it out and do it for not too much money!! pixiedust:

That is what I tried telling her. She works in the school system so she is aware that alot of schools have off that week. Heck, most of NJ does.

I just printed out the flights from LGA to Tampa, $263 RT and they are non-stop. I am going to talk to my SIL tonight and see what happens. I can't afford much more since I have to buy two, so I dont' want to lose out on the trip because of them.

We are in NJ and the last full week in April is when we always have off. My dates are kind of flexible, because we are going for a few extra either before or after the week of April 20th. Hopefully that helps me in getting lower airfares.

The RUMOUR that I heard was October 17th is the next release of Jet Blue schedules. I hope it's not true!:scared1:

OMG it just keeps getting worse. Nobody is gonna be booking with jet Blue because it will be too late lol.

Let's try to keep in mind that they way JB keeps to it's schedules and can off us lower fares is by holding back before putting fares out to the public. Oct is 6 months from April...did that come out right? It's not that big a deal. I'm used to waiting about that long to book with JB....I hate the wait but that's just the way it is.

I will wait as long as I have to for an affordable flight. If no cheap jet blue fares or Dings by March I think I;ll hav to consider driving. I fugure, the more I spend on airfare, the less I'll be able to spend while there. I'd rather eat!

I would drive too, but DH does not want to, so if no cheap airfares we probably aren't going. On the plus side if we don't go this year then maybe we can stay deluxe next year. I really want to stay at the Poly, and the only way to do that would be to not go this year. I am really trying to see the positive in either way here.

I am waiting patiently, ok not so patiently, for jetBlue to release their fares for April 2008. Last year they released them at the beginning of August. We already have our resort booked and I'm dying to book the airfare.

Anyone else waiting with me?

That seems longer than the 6 month time limit than Jet Blue says when you call or ask them. ºOº
