Anyone else use sunless tanning lotion?

KimRaye, the Coppertone Endless Summer - Foam that I use I put on about twice a week. I put it on after my bath and it dries quickly. It comes off on your clothes a little so I sleep that night in old pj's that don't matter. It starts fading a little in 3 or 4 days and I re-apply. Looks great and everyone always thinks I just got back from the beach. :sunny:

So, I'm assuming you bathe during that 3-4 day period, and it lasts thru a shower or two?

Also, this can get pretty costly, huh?

Thanks for replying!

I'm so white I'm transparent. I don't tan, I burn and freckle. I tried a Loreal brand one time and didn't like it, but I need to try that sublime.

I recently bought facial tanner from Bath and Body Works. It looks SOOOO nice. It looks real. I don't look weird, but it just looks natural. My DH was blown away.

(He's happy now because he doesn't have to squint when looking at me in the sunlight because I glow since I'm so white) ;)

Am I the only one who gets blotchy and streaky no matter what brand? I now just put a 30 sunblock on everyone and take the kids to the pool. Whatever sun I get fades pretty quickly once I get back to work in August--I'm so pale that when prescriptives makeup "matched" my skin tone the color was called "porcelain" (translated to "pale as death").

I am recently a cancer survivor....I had melanoma removed from each leg as well as 2 lymph nodes.

I was just at my dermatologist's office for a skin check and he said the most common site of skin cancer in women are the legs.

Also heard something interesting from a radiation oncolgist (doctor)- There is no proof (like research) that sunscreen helps to prevent melanoma. Best thing is to stay out of the sun as much as you can.

Count me as another fan of Loreal Sublime Bronze. I used it for the first time this weekend and I loved it.

KimRaye,
Yes, it lasts thru all those showers, however it starts fading some. Cost isn't so bad. I pay about 10$/bottle for Coppertone Endless Summer - Foam. 1 bottle lasts about 3 weeks. Cheaper than tanning beds and the lotion I used to buy for it! Lotion alone was $40 plus tanning fees. In the long run it's cheaper and safer. The only thing you've got to watch like I said earlier is your fingernails after you're done applying. I usually take a hand brush and scrub my cuticles so they don't turn darker. Give it a try! I'm a retail store manager and one of my customers told me she uses this over the expensive Estee Lauder brand, said it works better.:sunny:

Ok, I understand a little better now. I was just assuming these bottles were a one-time use kinda deal. It makes more sense now. Thanks for answering!! :sunny:

I use Neutrogena light on my legs and arms. Don't use it on my face, just brush on bronzer powder a bit. I like having my legs look tannish, otherwise I'm white as powder. I've had people comment on my nice tan. I basically use it because my friend works for their company and gets it for me cheap, around $2 per bottle.

Tried it once and lokked like I'd been dipped in Tang.

Yes, I've done the Mystic Tan booth. It works great, and looks very natural. And there's no streaking or misapplying, which always happens when I try to use a lotion or foam myself.

This thread inspired me to try the Loreal Sublime. I love it. Skin cancer runs in my family, so I have been avoiding the sun for several years. Love having a "tan" again.

What shade of Loreal Sublime is everyone here using and loving? I just bought the light-medium yesterday (the lightest shade). I noticed there were 3 different shades and they were sold out of the middle shade.

I used the Neutrogena and it came off on my sheets!!:o

I used the light-medium. I didn't want it to look unnatural.

I bought a new Coppertone sunless in the mouse formula to try for this weekend! I'll let you know later how it turns out!:sunny:

I'm interested in the L'Oreal Sublime also. How long does an application last? Thanks!

I use the light-medium L'Oreal sublime (lotion, not gel). I apply it every third day in the morning after the shower. I find it to be very subtle, just enough color to take the glow out of my very white skin! Also it has SPF 15, so it does offer a bit of protection as well.

Another fan of sunless tanning mousse. I swear by Lancome Flash Bronzer. I don't care for their lotions....they seem to streak more on me.

Minniepump. let us know how the Coopertone mousse works. I may have to give it a try....Lancome is quite pricey.

I have used the coppertone endless summer cream and so far I like everything about it but the smell! It's not very pleasant. It does last for a few days which is nice and only seems to streak a little after shaving my legs.
