Anyone else use Lycos email?

Since Lycos updated their email service last week to a 'newer and better service'! I haven't been able to get into my Inbox at all.

I have a 'phone number from Directory Enquiries for Lycos UK but no answer so I will try that tomorrow, hopefully someone will answer on a Monday!

Just wondered if anyone else used Lycos for email and whether you had had problems too!

It's driving me nuts as I can get as far as the folder and can see I have unread emails and how many, but it just won't let me read them! Can anyone else me out here?

I am with Lycos also and I am having similar problems. In fact I have had continuous problems with them for the past year or so. Mainly I find that I simply cannot access their home page, or if I get that far, I cannot access my e-mails. Recently I opened a Hotmail address because I was so sick of Lycos, and have had absolutely no problems with them. Lycos also seem to 'lose' a large amount of incoming and outgoing mail which was my main reason for changing to Hotmail. They might just be having teething problems with the new system but I have had a pretty annoying time with them over the past year. Give them a little time to settle into the new system but if you still keep having problems maybe you should consider changing.

Hi Sue

Well I tried again this morning but still can't get into my Inbox - I now have 34 messages in there - it's SO frustrating!

I will ring them today and see if anyone picks up the 'phone - failing that I think I will just give up and change to another one.

I have always found their home page takes an age to load, it's such a performance - I can hoover two rooms in the time it takes to get the home page up so it's never been that brilliant!

It's not that long since Excite shut down and I changed to Lycos - it's such a pain having to contact everyone with your new addres isn't it?

Anyway, I'll try to 'phone later and take it from there!
