Anyone else up this morning - southwest??

Yes! Was so happy I scored Wanna Get Away Fares for my honeymoon (2/14-2/20) from PVD to MCO. Paid a total of $784.40 for the both of us, round trip. :cool1:

I too was disappointed with the flight options! We are usually able to get a flight around 7:00 am, but this time the only options were 6:00 am and 8:05 am. The earlier flight wasn't a nonstop, cost $100 more than the nonstop at 8:05??? and got in later than the 8:05. So we leave later. There were better options for the return trip.

We got 2 roundtrip tickets for PVD/MCO for $484 (2/28-3/6). That's only $40 higher than the cost 2 years ago for the same week, so I'm OK with it. I just wish that I could get an earlier flight out...

Good luck everyone!

For those having sticker shock, keep checking today & tomorrow. I have seen downward price adjustments in the past, almost as though they are testing the water.

I was waiting for return flight from SJU in January, disappointed it's a good 30% more than the originating one. At least I had enough points to use.

dates I checked into MCO were pricing out 40 % higher than I booked for this October on the release date.:rolleyes1

was worried SWA would be eliminating many NS from PIT-MCO, but so far, so good...just need to budget more for the airfare next year.

I'm interested in April flights as well so I was curious what I'd see for Feb!!! Great minds think alike ;)

Unfortunately, I was not very happy with what I saw . . .first their lack of available flight times surprised me! We're checking for nonstop flights from Flint, MI to MCO rather than flying out of Detroit since SW does not offer non-stop from DTW. We tried this last Easter to MCO and it was perfect!!!

Another thing was the prices were not as low as I'd seen in the past. I know they fluctuate and offer a credit if they do drop, but we paid $202 roundtrip this past year during Spring Break ~ maybe it was a fluke?

Finally, the next release date is Aug 25 for flights through April 6, 2015. Of course, the flights we need are April 4, 2015 to April 10. I'll be stuck buying half of our flight and then waiting a month or so for the return flight home :sad2: At least it's not $1067 that Delta wants now for the same flight!!

Good luck everyone! Hope you were able to get the tickets you wanted!!!:goodvibes

I looked this morning as well and noticed Flints schedule was crappy. Only one non stop in some cases or only one flight a day. We need March 9th to March 20th. I will look again on August 25th, Grrrr

I'm surprised they kept Flint. They got rid of most small cities.

Oh! I hope they don't get rid of their non-stops from Flint! We loved flying from there this past April!! No lines through security, easy parking and none of the crazy crowds like we normally see flying out of Detroit!

It was well worth the one hour drive for us to fly from there!

I truly hope they continue using this airport :worried:

I bought mine! Paid $113 each way from Buffalo to MCO. I am flying on Presidents' Day coming home the following Tuesday. Was looking to go down on Friday but wanna get away fares were all sold out or unavailable. My dates were flexible so I went with Monday. I was online at about 6:30 so they must have gone fast! Guess I'll have to take 2 days off work. Lol. Let the countdown begin!!!!

Booked this morning (yesterday?) at 6:15 and was very happy with my return flight of $113 from MCO to BUF. Checked just now to see how things were going with the flight, and in less than 24 hours, it's actually DROPPED! Price is now $103 pp. Never seen that before.

This happened to us the last two times we booked SW. I don't worry as much about catching prices the minute they open. We received a credit but it is nice not too set the alarm for the "opening bell". LOL

I noticed that too from PVD or MHT, still only the crappy times though. :lmao:

Wish it was for the early flight from MHT, not the 4:40pm. I refuse to get to Disney the first day only to sleep, especially at Disney prices. :rotfl2:

Mine weren't lower this morning. BUT, if they do go lower - can I use that credit to book the Early Check In thing?

Wow looking at this batch of flights I think we may be flying from buffalo instead of rochester for our May trip. $174 to mco from rochester and as low as $103 from buffalo with a lot of dates at $113. Yikes. That's a huge difference. Even having to pay to park the car for a week at the buffalo airport that is still a huge savings.

I keep checking too. I'm going to have to limit myself to checking only once a day now. I need to let the obsession go. I've got dining reservations to figure out now so I'm ready to go when I can make them! LOL!

I feel you, we're cruising DCL in October and I keep checking every day for the off chance of a price drop. ;)

We're needing to book March 7 to MCO and return the following week. Has anyone ever booked before the dates cause the rates are so cheap then changed things when dates became available??? I'm just wondering if I'll get rates this good!!

I booked Monday for February break. We're not going to Disney but Clearwater beach via Tampa Airport. I got RT at $226 per person, our flights are now sold out for the "wanna get away" fair and the next cheapest flights are $514 RT per person. :scared1:

Because I am Disney obsessed I checked the same time for BUF to MCO and the prices were the same when I booked my TPA flights and now they are $452 PP.

I am soooooo glad I booked when I did.

Anyone up again??? Wow prices were expensive for Spring Break.
