Anyone else unable to change SW flights?

I have been getting an error message all day when I try to select a new flight (which is the same flight, it just went down in price a bit). Tried 3 different devices and even tried a different flight that day to see if only my original flight is the problem. Wondering if it is just me and my wretched luck (there isn't a limit on how many times you can change, is there? ;)). A phone agent won't help with web only fares, right? <---- Yes, dumbest question on the Internet today.
 
Updating...I did call and, yep, just me. A supervisor wasn't able to make any changes to our file, says it is "corrupted". Having an IT person figure it out. I need crossed fingers that it doesn't get hopelessly screwed up. :(
 
Oh, and just one of the reasons for my fear of getting messed up is that she said you can change your flight online only once. That can't be true, right? I have changed my outbound flight, like, 3 times without any issue.

I have never had a problem changing my flights more than once. Maybe you should call back and speak to someone else. I remember once having a problem online, called SWA, and the agent could not help manually but was able to talk me thru the process.
 

Well, I am on my 4th confirmation number of the day. Beginning to think Disney and SW share an IT department. :lmao: They assign me one then I get an email canceling it minutes later. This latest one has held for 2.5 hours now so...maybe?

The supervisor wasn't able to do anything - my entire record was frozen for some reason - including canceling it completely so I could re-book on my end. I believe her on that point but am still mystified about the limit to changes online. Also, she said I now have to call to make any changes to my current record from now on but I don't think I dare make changes after today's fiasco to save 20 bucks!

i am a SWA newbie. Are you rebooking because the flight price decreased?

My flight just went down and I am unsure how to get a credit for the decrease...
 
I just tried buying a DING! fare and I had an error message on both my iPad and iPhone. ARGH....very frustrating!

Yep, I was re-booking a lower fare. If you go the change flight link on the right side of Southwest.com it will walk you through it. I would verify that the lower price is still available right before you do this. The credit will appear automatically (it is in travel funds to use on another flight, you don't get an actual refund) on the final page before you confirm. You use that confirmation number to access the funds when you want to book another flight. Does that make sense?
 
Nope....I downloaded it on my computer after the app failed me on both devices and by the time I clicked on my flight, it had expired!

Did you get your changes made?
