I know areas northwest of us got hit worse.

The kids are off from school, and it's turned to all rain now.

We got that stuff last night...wasn't to bad..don't know what it is like outside now though...

It just started up here. Kids got off to school ok, now I just have to worry that it won't end before school ends and DD has to drive home in it.:(

Our roads are a little icy here in Ohio. Our schools started on a 2 hour delay, then just about an hour ago, they cancelled.
The kids are happy! I am too! I don't want to drive on the road until it thaws out!

It was pouring down rain for a while there...if it had been snow, we'd have been buried!

we had freezing rain turning to rain. many schools at least had a 2 hour delay if they weren't closed. slick roads this morning but are slowly improving. drive safely.

Freezing rain here too today. Schools cancelled again.:(

just plain old regular rain here... my kids schools open no delay.. some schools closed though

Work was on a 2 hour delay, but it was fine.. I went Christmas shopping instead of going to work early.. !

We had freezing rain here in Montgomery County, MD this morning. Most of the schools are closed, and the federal government is on liberal leave status.

I left for work a little later than usual, and the roads were perfect, though the trees and grass are covered with ice. I think everyone panicked because of what happened in the Carolinas last week.

We have early dismissal here in North Central
NJ. It's really starting to come down now. I hope it's not too bad when they're on their way home, which won't be for another two hours.

I'm caught in an area of none but between to areas that have it pretty bad. No school on either end and I can't do much except go to post office b/c I'd end up in freezing rain/Snow areas.

All schools are closed here. I go to a university an hour north, got there at 8am, and was ready to take my last three finals......they postponed them!!! Now I have to go back Thursday and Friday to take them. :( :( :( :(

Oh well.....I guess I will just brew a pot of coffee, dream about our upcoming trip, hang out with my kids, and study some more!

Our weather report is warning the area of potential power outages. The roads are a bit slick and something is falling from the sky.

OK, the BAD news is -- our kids have school today!

The GOOD news is -- the sun is shining, it's about 70 degrees, and it's beautiful!!!

Oh, I forgot to mention -- we live in FLORIDA!!

(Sorry about that -- had to tease ya'll a little bit!)

;)

We had a half inch of ice and are under a Winter Storm warning and our schools are open. My poor dd had safety patrol today and had to stand outside with ice pellets hitting her.

Am I a little ticked off-------------yes!!!!

Yep, dealing with some of that here. Some schools were on delays and I know some were closed. I made it to work (took nearly twice as long though) and it should warm up enough to turn it to straight rain this evening and then to snow tonight. I just hope the roads are okay come quitting time and for work tomorrow :)

It's headed my way tonight into tomorrow morning. We could be on the rain side since the closer you are to the coast the more likely it will be rain. We anticipate that schools will be open tomorrow.

we got some here. i haven't been outside yet today though. i decided to work from home so i wouldn't have to deal with it if the roads got bad.

It is pretty messy up by me in upstate NY. The roads and sidewalks are really bad! My friend and I decided that we are gonna order in some food cause we are too lazy and don't wanna go out in the cold.

The freezing rain started very early this morning. I slid all the way down my driveway!!:p
Most of the schools closed down today. When I finally left for work at 8:30, I practically had the roads to myself!
