Anyone else tired of the "I hate Stitch" threads?

We liked Stitch's Great Escape, and we hated AE. Shoot us. We'll be back at the MK next Tuesday, and we'll be one of the many families waiting in line to see Stitch again.

My motto...If you don't like them, don't read them!

Or...read them...and argue...Whatever trips your trigger!

Yep.

While I feel people are entitled to their opinion, just saying 'stitch is stupid and lame' is, in fact, stupid and lame. Give some reasons for hating this apparently awful and terrible ride.

Long life SGE. :cheer2:

Yes I am. How many times do people have to post about it? It seems like the 1st page on this forum almost always has a new "I hate SGW" thread. You hate it, WE GET IT. I just skip over them.

My hubby and I love SGE and didn't think it was lame.

I'm with the OP on this one. Enough already.

Some of us do actually enjoy that attraction. It's amusing, and the animatronics are wonderfully done... not to mention that SGE is an op to escape the FL heat and kick back in the ac for a little while. Not everthing new needs to be a 'thrill ride'.

there are a ton of threads that repeat the same question or opinion over and over. It's get pretty old after a while...!

It does seem to be fashionable to knock the ride-same with Its a small world. At the end of the day there has to be something for everyone at WDW otherwise it wouldn't attract the crowds it does-for every thrill seeker there is someone craving something innocent or childlike. If not, we'd all be going to IoA.

Well said. We've never tried Drew Carey's Sounds Dangerous at MGM, and after reading all of the negative threads about that on this site, I don't think I want to. But, our DS12 wants to try it next week, so we'll be there. Perhaps we'll like it as well, and will be back here the following week to defend that show.

It doesn't bother me that much. Personally I think SGE is a waste of space, as AE was before it.

But at least the Stitch threads are somewhat on topic as far as parks go. I'm willing to bet there are far more threads about Crocs on here than about SGE. I have NO idea what a brand of shoe has to do with parks. At least Stitch threads are about an attraction in MK.

By the way, what type of Croc should I wear in the SGE show? ;)

Yeah, I'm tired of all the "I hate Stitch" threads. I wish Disney would just get rid of that stupid and lame attraction so the threads would stop.

To see my exact, precise, thought-out reasons why I think Stitch's Great Mistake is stupid and lame, see my lengthy post in the following "I hate Stitch" thread:

You're totally right! I absolutely love Stitch, he's such a great character. It seems like everytime something appears with stitch (ride, spitting stitch, crazy bin) it calls for all those ppl who hate stitch to start a new mean thread. Disney's using their imagination and bringing us new attractions (far better than AE), if you don't like him you're not going to like SGE!

All stitchy lovers- we should all have a huge hug :grouphug:, that way he won't hear all the horrid comments

I actually enjoy the "I hate Stitch" threads. I thought I was alone in how I felt about Stitch, so everytime I see one I say "YES! Someone else hates him and that attraction too!!!" :rotfl2:

We love Stitch too! Viva la Stitch fans!

Yes, well, from the sounds of your post, you're not a Stitch fan in any incarnation. :| So the chances of you liking the ride, no matter what the story is involved with it, are pretty slim.

Besides, you really didn't comment on the ride itself. More on the reasons why AE was so great.

Okay, then, let me comment directly on the Stitch attraction.

First of all, it's called Stitch's Great Escape. From this many people infer that it's a kid-friendly attraction, since Stitch is a kid-friendly character. I sure thought so when I heard that Stitch would be replacing AE. But that's a falacy - it's dark, it's loud, and it's scary, just as much so as AE. "How could a cute little blue guy like Stitch possibly be scary?" many people think, and so they go in without reading any of the warnings, and little kids wind up getting scared.

Next, the storyline is not well fleshed out. As one of those folks who has not seen Lilo & Stitch, I was unfamiliar with any fo the characters except Stitch himself, completely confused by the plot, and puzzled by the fact that the animatronic Stitch had 6 arms. I thought Stitch only had 2 arms - was that Stitch, or his cousin Mitch? I had no idea what was going on.

It's LOUD. I found the 'cannon' shots to be terribly loud, almost to the point of pain.

And finally, the chili dog burp is not only disgusting, but sickening. The smell actually makes people nauseous, including me.

So basically, A) I hate that they took away my favorite Tomorrowland attraction, and B) I hate that they replaced it with something that is so cheap, flimsy, and cheesy that the old XS Technology logos weren't even taken off the walls during the makeover.

You know what.....

If I have to cull through 200 "I love my CROCS!" threads and one million "Who's there in September" threads and 600 "When is POC closed and should I cancel my trip" threads and 10,000 "Who wants to do the 580 day dance with me   :Pinkbounc " as well as "What's with all the EVCs?" and "When are the Brazilians coming" and "Can I sneak my 3 1/2 year old in" and "Is AK worth it?" and "I can't believe we are playing this Epcot game!!"..........

Then I think we can deal with another Stitch thread.

(Oh, yes, I forgot -- the daily '"Should I get TGM or UOG or both")

Wanna bet? :rolleyes1

Can I start an "I hate Winnie the Pooh Thread"? I love Stitch. The attaction is just OK. There are some problems with the whole story line since his name wasn't Stitch when he escaped, he was known as Experiment 626 until Lilo named him after his escape. And he had 4 arms & 2 legs not 6 arms as an alien. The chili dog thing is gross but so is the skunk in Journey Into Imagination, I'd rather smell the chili dog. You couldn't pay me to go into Alien Encounter when it was there. I close my eyes in the alien section of The Great Movie Ride. There are always going to be attractions that some people love & others hate. That's what makes us all unique.
