We ordered handtossed tonight and the crust was thinner then it used to be and the sauce had a sweet taste to it like Papa Johns which I can't stand. I think they are cutting back on ingrediants for the pizza too. It was pretty nasty. I don't see myself ordering from them again. When you have a good product don't change it.

I live in SoCal so not many great pizza joints around here that deliver so hard to go independent to get better pizza. I guess we will go back with dominoes. I had been using Pizza hut for their online ordering but the price of the pizza on the website did not reflect the discount prices of 5 dollar mediums so I ended up having to call the store anyway. If I am having to call I may as well call dominoes.

Yes, we now actually prefer Dominos to PH! :crazy2:
Most often, I make my own pizza. It's cheaper, faster, and sooooo much better. :goodvibes

I am the opposite - I love Pizza Hut pizza, and had it the other night as a special treat. I like it because they don't overdo the spices like our local pizza places do. I can't stand pizza loaded with oregano, basil leaves, onion and garlic pieces, etc. :scared: I like my food more uniform and I guess bland - so Pizza Hut's pizza agrees with my system so much better. :)

Pizza Hut's deep dish rules. I don't like their other crusts.

IMHO Pizza hut is pretty bad. We haven't eaten their pizza in years. Once you taste homemade, dough from the bread maker and our own toppings we really don't order in very often. However, Roundtable has a pretty good pizza and great even healthy toppings.

Guess I know what's for dinner tomorrow! I love their pizza!

I love their pizza! Not many fancy shmancy pizza places in Arkansas, so we mostly rely on the chains.

I had their pizza about a month ago and loved the sweeter sauce and simple flavors.

We tried to get pizza the other night (drove by a PH-- my parents are staying in a hotel and I don't know the area) and they were closed @ 8pm!

Ended up w/Dominos and it was pretty darn tasty!!

I try to avoid chain pizza, but sometimes you just can't. Pizza Hut is my least favorite. They changed their toppings about 10 years ago to giant hunks of veggies (ick - may I have bite size pieces please) and we moved to a different town. At our old house, the Pizza Hut was a block away so always hot and fresh.

We usually do Godfather's for delivery because it's what the girls like best, my favorites are the little independent places, but they don't usually deliver. DH loves Papa John's but the pizza dough and sauce there are so sweet it does a bad bad thing to my blood sugar, even beyond what pizza normally does. Not worth the consequences for distinctly average pizza.

Domino's does have online ordering, at least in some parts of the country. If Iowa has it, I can't imagine that Southern California doesn't. We ordered from there Easter Sunday (couldn't believe they were actually open! I'd had enough ham by suppertime and was not feeling up to more cooking). They had the coupons online and it was easy. cute little order tracking page that updated each step of the process. Now if only the pizza was better...

Used to be my favorite chain pizza. Now, I don't eat at chains for pizza, except, occasionally, Pizzeria Uno or Bertuccis.

Last time I had Pizza Hut, it was :crazy2: .

We don't order from pizza joints anymore, I make it my self.

I HATE "pizza" from the chain stores, it is comparable to frozen pizza from the grocery store in my opinion. I go to local pizza places for real pizza when I want pizza!

I like pizza hut, Donatos and Papa Johns and havne't noticed a change for the worse on any of them....except for the fact that pizza huts around here started cutting their larges into 8 pieces instead of 12 a year or two ago.

I hate Domino's (yuck, nothing but grease if you get pepperonni).

Well.....St. Louis Missouri has the chain "Imo's". Extra thin pizza and provel cheese.:thumbsup2
It is unique however.

I eat Pizza Hut. I will have to say I ordered last week and had to cancel the order and hang up on them.

Why? It was a call center and they were BEYOND rude and to top it off, I guess I never called there, (always called the store direct), and they would not accept a check from me. Forget it.
I got in my car, drove to the PH, and got my own pizza.

I asked about the call center. The folks said yes they hear so many complaints about them. In addition he said they make way more money that he does.

I don't think it's gone downhill. It's always been disgusting.

The new sause they are using is plain full out NASTY!!!. Most of the PH's in our area have converted to the PS Bistro's. Their sandwichs are very good.

If we want just a plain ol pepperoni or a loaded pizza, we go to one of the local places. So far the PH's in our area haven't ruined their taco pizza's, so we have only been going to them when that is what we want.

Papa Johns- Hate it. I had it once here at work and the sauce was way to sweet for me. I thought maybe it was just the pizza we got, but from the other posts it sounds like this is the norm for them.

Pizza Hut- I like them, all though I haven't gotten a pizza from them in about 6 months or more. It's always good for a thicker crust. I really hope our local one didn't change the sauce and make it sweeter. If that is the case I won't be getting there's anymore and I don't know what I'm going to do when I'm in the mood for a thicker crust (aside from making my own). We don't have a Dominos around.

Thankfully, I live in CT and work in New Haven. I drive by Pepe's and Sallys on my way to the highway, so I can always stop there for some excellent pizza when I'm in the mood for a thinner crust. Around where we live there is nothing but independant pizza shops. Seems like there is one on every corner. :rotfl:

Ours isn't too bad but we always order thin crust pepperoni - that's it. HATE Domino's, HATE Hungry Howie's, HATE Little Ceasar's.

We've got a Santino's here that's awesome!!! We use them when we really want good pizza, and Pizza Hut when I've got a coupon and we're trying to eat cheap. Except Pizza Hut really hasn't been sending out cheap coupons lately. The best I've found was 10.99 for a large one-topping. We can get a large from Santino's for $15, and it's so much better.
